    Holy Thursday

    Chrism Mass

    Primera Lectura

    Segona Lectura

    Revelation 1: 5-8

1:5and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the leader over the kings of the earth, who has loved us and has washed us from our sins with his blood,
1:6and who has made us into a kingdom and into priests for God and for his Father. To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amén.
1:7Heus aquí, he arrives with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall lament for themselves over him. Even so. Amén.
1:8“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

    Evangeli

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 4: 16-21

4:16And he went to Nazareth, where he had been raised. And he entered into the synagogue, according to his custom, on the Sabbath day. And he rose up to read.
4:17And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. And as he unrolled the book, he found the place where it was written:
4:18“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; a causa d'això, he has anointed me. He has sent me to evangelize the poor, to heal the contrite of heart,
4:19to preach forgiveness to captives and sight to the blind, to release the broken into forgiveness, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of retribution.”
4:20And when he had rolled up the book, he returned it to the minister, and he sat down. And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him.
4:21Then he began to say to them, “On this day, this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper

    Èxode 12: 1- 8, 11- 14

12:1The Lord also said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt:
12:2“This month will be for you the beginning of the months. It will be first in the months of the year.
12:3Speak to the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, and say to them: On the tenth day of this month, let everyone take a lamb, by their families and houses.
12:4But if the number is less than may suffice to be able to consume the lamb, he shall accept his neighbor, who has been joined with his house according to the number of souls that may suffice to be able to eat the lamb.
12:5And it shall be a lamb without blemish, a one year old male. According to this rite, you shall also take a young goat.
12:6And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month. And the entire multitude of the sons of Israel shall immolate it toward evening.
12:7And they shall take from its blood, and place it on both the door posts and the upper threshold of the houses, in which they will consume it.
12:8And that night they shall eat the flesh, roasted by fire, and unleavened bread with wild lettuce.
12:11Now you shall consume it in this way: You shall gird your waist, and you shall have shoes on your feet, holding staves in your hands, and you shall consume it in haste. For it is the Passover (això és, the Crossing) of the Lord.
12:12And I will cross through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from man, even to cattle. And I will bring judgments against all the gods of Egypt. Jo sóc el Senyor.
12:13But the blood will be for you as a sign in the buildings where you will be. And I will see the blood, and I will pass over you. And the plague will not be with you to destroy, when I strike the land of Egypt.
12:14Then you shall have this day as a memorial, and you shall celebrate it as a solemnity to the Lord, in your generations, as an everlasting devotion.

    First Corinthians 11: 23- 26

11:23For I have received from the Lord what I have also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the same night that he was handed over, took bread,
11:24and giving thanks, he broke it, and said: “Take and eat. This is my body, which shall be given up for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
11:25Similarly also, the cup, after he had eaten supper, dient: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
11:26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord, until he returns.

    Joan 13: 1- 15

13:1Before the feast day of the Passover, Jesus knew that the hour was approaching when he would pass from this world to the Father. And since he had always loved his own who were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
13:2And when the meal had taken place, when the devil had now put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray him,
13:3knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he came from God and was going to God,
13:4he rose up from the meal, and he set aside his vestments, and when he had received a towel, he wrapped it around himself.
13:5Next he put water into a shallow bowl, and he began to wash the feet of the disciples and to wipe them with the towel with which he was wrapped.
13:6And then he came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to him, “Senyor, would you wash my feet?”
13:7Jesús va respondre i li va dir: “What I am doing, you do not now understand. But you shall understand it afterward.”
13:8Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you will have no place with me.”
13:9Simon Peter said to him, “Then Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!”
13:10Jesus said to him: “He who is washed need only wash his feet, and then he will be entirely clean. And you are clean, but not all.”
13:11For he knew which one would betray him. Per aquesta raó, Ell va dir, “You are not all clean.”
13:12I així, after he washed their feet and received his vestments, when he had sat down at table again, els va dir: “Do you know what I have done for you?
13:13You call me Teacher and Lord, and you speak well: for so I am.
13:14Per tant, if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash the feet of one another.
13:15For I have given you an example, so that just as I have done for you, so also should you do.

No he tornat enrere.
No he allunyat la meva cara dels que em van increpar i que em van escopir.
50:7El Senyor Déu és el meu ajudant. Per tant, No he estat confós.

    Gospel according to Matthew 26:14 – 25

26:14Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the leaders of the priests,
26:15i els va dir, “What are you willing to give me, if I hand him over to you?” So they appointed thirty pieces of silver for him.
26:16And from then on, he sought an opportunity to betray him.
26:17Aleshores, on the first day of Unleavened Bread, the disciples approached Jesus, dient, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
26:18So Jesus said, “Go into the city, to a certain one, and say to him: ‘The Teacher said: My time is near. I am observing the Passover with you, along with my disciples.’ ”
26:19And the disciples did just as Jesus appointed to them. And they prepared the Passover.
26:20Aleshores, when evening arrived, he sat at table with his twelve disciples.
26:21And while they were eating, Ell va dir: "Amén et dic, that one of you is about to betray me.”
26:22And being greatly saddened, each one of them began to say, “Surely, it is not I, Senyor?”
26:23But he responded by saying: “He who dips his hand with me into the dish, the same will betray me.
26:24Indeed, the Son of man goes, just as it has been written about him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of man will be betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”
26:25Després Judes, who betrayed him, responded by saying, “Surely, it is not I, Master?” He said to him, “You have said it.”

    Isaïes 49: 1- 6

49:1Presta atenció, vosaltres illes, i escolta atentament, vosaltres pobles llunyans.
49:4I vaig dir: "He treballat cap al buit.

    Joan 13: 21- 33, 36- 38

13:21When Jesus had said these things, he was troubled in spirit. And he bore witness by saying: “Amén, amén, et dic, that one among you shall betray me.”
13:22Per tant, the disciples looked around at one another, uncertain about whom he spoke.
13:23And leaning against the bosom of Jesus was one of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved.
13:24Per tant, Simon Peter motioned to this one and said to him, “Who is it that he is speaking about?”
13:25I així, leaning against the chest of Jesus, li va dir, “Senyor, who is it?”
13:26Jesus responded, “It is he to whom I shall extend the dipped bread.” And when he had dipped the bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon.
13:27And after the morsel, Satan entered into him. I Jesús li va dir, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”
13:28Now none of those sitting at table knew why he had said this to him.
13:29For some were thinking that, because Judas held the purse, that Jesus had told him, “Buy those things which are needed by us for the feast day,” or that he might give something to the needy.
13:30Per tant, having accepted the morsel, he went out immediately. And it was night.
13:31Aleshores, when he had gone out, Jesus said: “Now the Son of man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.
13:32If God has been glorified in him, then God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him without delay.
13:33Little sons, for a brief while, I am with you. You shall seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you are not able to go,’ so also I say to you now.
13:36Simon Peter said to him, “Senyor, where are you going?” Jesus responded: “Where I am going, you are not able to follow me now. But you shall follow afterward.”
13:37Peter said to him: “Why am I unable to follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!”
13:38Jesus answered him: “You will lay down your life for me? Amén, amén, et dic, the rooster will not crow, until you deny me three times.”
