Ug pagtubag, Si Jesus misulti pag-usab ngadto kanila pinaagi sa mga sambingay, nag-ingon: |

“Ang gingharian sa langit sama sa usa ka tawo nga hari kaniadto, nga nagsaulog sa kasal alang sa iyang anak. |
| 22:3 |
Ug iyang gipaadto ang iyang mga sulugoon sa pagtawag sa mga dinapit sa kasal. Apan dili sila andam nga moanha. |
| 22:4 |
Pag-usab, nagpadala siya ug laing mga sulugoon, nag-ingon, ‘Sultihi ang dinapit: Tan-awa, Giandam nako ang akong pagkaon. Ang akong mga torong baka ug mga pinatambok gipamatay na, ug andam na ang tanan. Umari ka sa kasal.’ |

Apan wala nila kini panumbalinga ug nanglakaw sila: ang usa ngadto sa iyang yutang natawhan, ug lain sa iyang negosyo. |

Sa tinuod lang, ang uban mikupot sa iyang mga alagad ug, nga nagtamay kanila uban ang pagtamay, gipatay sila. |
| 22:7 |
Apan sa pagkadungog niini sa hari, nasuko siya. Ug nagpadala sa iyang mga kasundalohan, iyang gilaglag kadtong mga mamumuno, ug iyang gisunog ang ilang siyudad. |
| 22:8 |
Unya miingon siya sa iyang mga alagad: 'Ang kasal, tinuod, giandam na. Apan ang mga dinapit dili takos. |
| 22:9 |
Busa, lakaw ngadto sa mga dalan, ug tawga ang bisan kinsa nga imong makaplagan ngadto sa kasal.’ |
| 22:10 |
Ug ang iyang mga alagad, pagbiya ngadto sa mga dalan, gitigum ang tanan nga ilang nakit-an, daotan ug maayo, ug ang kasal napuno sa mga bisita. |
| 22:11 |
Unya ang hari misulod aron sa pagtan-aw sa mga bisita. Ug nakita niya didto ang usa ka tawo nga wala magsul-ob ug bisti nga alang sa kasal. |
| 22:12 |
Ug siya miingon kaniya, ‘Higala, naunsa ba nga misulod ka man dinhi nga wala ka magsul-ob ug bisti nga pangkasal?’ Apan nahibulong siya. |
| 22:13 |
Unya ang hari miingon sa mga ministro: ‘Gapusa ang iyang mga kamot ug tiil, ug itambog siya ngadto sa gawas nga kangitngit, diin adunay paghilak ug pagkagot sa mga ngipon. |
| 22:14 |
Kay daghan ang gitawag, apan diyutay ra ang gipili.’” |
| 22:15 |
Unya ang mga Pariseo, paggawas, took counsel as to how they might entrap him in speech. |
| 22:16 |
And they sent their disciples to him, with the Herodians, nag-ingon: "Magtutudlo, we know that you are truthful, and that you teach the way of God in truth, and that the influence of others is nothing to you. For you do not consider the reputation of men. |
| 22:17 |
Busa, tell us, how does it seem to you? Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar, o dili?” |
| 22:18 |
Apan si Jesus, knowing their wickedness, miingon: “Why do you test me, mga tigpakaaron-ingnon? |

Show me the coin of the census tax.” And they offered him a denarius. |

Ug si Jesus miingon kanila, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?” |
| 22:21 |
Miingon sila kaniya, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Then render to Caesar what is of Caesar; and to God what is of God.” |

Ug pagkadungog niini, natingala sila. And having left him behind, nanglakaw sila. |
| 22:23 |
Niadtong adlawa, the Sadducees, who say there is to be no resurrection, miduol kaniya. Ug sila nangutana kaniya, |

nag-ingon: "Magtutudlo, Miingon si Moises: If anyone will have died, having no son, his brother shall marry his wife, and he shall raise up offspring to his brother. |
| 22:25 |
Now there were seven brothers with us. And the first, having taken a wife, namatay. And having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother: |

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken by God, nag-ingon kanimo: |

‘I am the God of Abraham, ug ang Dios ni Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” |

And when the crowds heard this, they wondered at his doctrine. |

Apan ang mga Pariseo, hearing that he had caused the Sadducees to be silent, came together as one. |

Ug usa kanila, a doctor of the law, questioned him, to test him: |
| 22:36 |
"Magtutudlo, which is the great commandment in the law?” |
| 22:37 |
Miingon si Jesus kaniya: “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God from all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ |
| 22:38 |
This is the greatest and first commandment. |
| 22:39 |
Apan ang ikaduha susama niini: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
| 22:40 |
On these two commandments the entire law depends, and also the prophets.” |
| 22:41 |
Unya, when the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus questioned them, |
| 22:42 |
nag-ingon: “What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” Sila miingon kaniya, “David’s.” |
| 22:43 |
Miingon siya kanila: “Then how can David, in the Spirit, call him Lord, nag-ingon: |
| 22:44 |
‘Ang Ginoo miingon sa akong Ginoo: Lingkod sa akong tuo nga kamot, until I make your enemies your footstool?' |
| 22:45 |
Busa unya, if David calls him Lord, how can he be his son?” |
| 22:46 |
And no one was able to respond to him a word. And neither did anyone dare, from that day forward, to question him. |
