First Letter of St. Paulus korintlastele 3: 16-23
3:16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God lives within you?
3:17 But if anyone violates the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, and you are that Temple.
3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may be truly wise.
3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. And so it has been written: “I will catch the wise in their own astuteness.”
3:20 Ja jälle: “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”
3:21 Ja nii, let no one glory in men.
3:22 For all is yours: whether Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future. Jah, all is yours.
3:23 But you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

5:44 Aga ma ütlen teile: Armasta oma vaenlasi. Tee head neile, kes sind vihkavad. Ja palvetage nende eest, kes teid taga kiusavad ja laimavad.
5:45 Sellel viisil, te olete oma Isa pojad, kes on taevas. Ta laseb oma päikesel tõusta headele ja halbadele, ja ta laseb sadada õigete ja ülekohtuste peale.
5:46 Sest kui sa armastad neid, kes sind armastavad, mis tasu sa saad? Ärge isegi maksukogujad käituge nii?
