Solemnity of St. Joseph
Second Samuel 7: 4- 5, 12- 14, 16
7:4 But it happened in that night, hara, the word of the Lord came to Nathan, esanez: 7:5 «Joan, eta esan nire zerbitzari Davidi: ‘Honela dio Jaunak: Etxe bat eraikiko al didazu bizileku gisa?? 7:12 Eta zure egunak beteko direnean, eta zure arbasoekin lo egingo duzu, Zure ondorengoa sortuko dut zure ondorengoa, zure ertzetatik aterako dena, eta sendotuko dut haren erreinua. 7:13 Berak eraikiko du etxea nire izenari. Eta ezarriko dut haren erreinuko tronua, baita betiko. 7:14 aita izango naiz berarentzat, eta seme izango da niretzat. Eta gaiztakeriaren bat egingo badu, Gizonen makilarekin eta gizonen semeen zauriekin zuzenduko dut. 7:16 Eta zure etxea leial izango da, eta zure erreinua izango da zure aurrean, betikotasunerako, eta zure tronua seguru egongo da etengabe». Erromatarrak 4: 13, 16- 18, 22
4:13 Abrahami egindako promesagatik, eta bere ondorengoei, mundua heredatuko zuela, ez zen legearen bidez, baina fedearen justiziaren bidez. 4:16 Honegatik, fedetik graziaren arabera bermatzen da Promesa ondorengo guztientzat, ez bakarrik legekoak direnentzat, baina baita Abrahamen fedekoak direnentzat ere, Jainkoaren aurrean gu guztion aita dena, 4:17 norengan sinesten zuen, hildakoak berpizten dituena eta existitzen ez diren gauza horiei deitzen diena. Zeren idatzita dago: "Nazio askoren aita bezala ezarri zaitut". 4:18 Eta sinetsi zuen, esperantzaz haraindiko itxaropenarekin, nazio askoren aita izan zedin, esandakoaren arabera: «Horrela izango da zure ondorengoak». 4:22 Eta horregatik, ospea izan zitzaion justiziari. Mateo 1: 16, 18- 21, 24
1:16 And Jacob conceived Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. 1:18 Now the procreation of the Christ occurred in this way. After his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they lived together, she was found to have conceived in her womb by the Holy Spirit. 1:19 Then Joseph, her husband, since he was just and was not willing to hand her over, preferred to send her away secretly. 1:20 But while thinking over these things, hara, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, esanez: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to accept Mary as your wife. For what has been formed in her is of the Holy Spirit. 1:21 And she shall give birth to a son. And you shall call his name JESUS. For he shall accomplish the salvation of his people from their sins.” 1:24 Then Joseph, arising from sleep, did just as the Angel of the Lord had instructed him, and he accepted her as his wife.

Daniel 13: 1- 9, 15- 17, 19- 30, 33- 62
13:1 And there was a man living in Babylon, and his name was Joakim. 13:2 And he received a wife named Susanna, the daughter of Hilkiah, who was very beautiful and God-fearing. 13:3 For her parents, because they were righteous, had educated their daughter according to the law of Moses. 13:4 But Joakim was very wealthy, and he had an orchard near his house, and the Jews flocked to him, because he was the most honorable of them all. 13:5 And two elder judges had been appointed among the people that year, about whom the Lord has said, “Iniquity has come out of Babylon, from the elder judges, who seemed to govern the people.” 13:6 These frequented the house of Joakim, and all came to them, who had need of judgment. 13:7 But when the people departed at noontime, Susanna went in and walked around in her husband’s orchard. 13:8 And the elders saw her entering and walking around every day, and they were inflamed with desire towards her. 13:9 And they perverted their reason and turned away their eyes, so that they would not look to heaven, nor call to mind just judgments. 13:15 But it happened, while they watched for an opportune day, ordu jakin batean sartu zela, atzo eta bezperan bezala, bi neskamerekin bakarrik, eta baratzean garbitu nahi zuen, bero handia egiten zuelako. 13:16 Eta han ez zegoen inor, ezkutuan dauden bi zaharrenak izan ezik, eta bera ikasten ari ziren. 13:17 Eta hala esan zien neskameei, «Ekar iezadazu olioa eta ukenduak, eta baratzeko ateak itxi, garbitu nadin». 13:19 Baina neskameak alde egin zutenean, bi zaharrak jaiki eta presaka joan ziren harengana, eta esan zuten, 13:20 “Hara, baratzeko ateak itxita daude, eta inork ezin gaitu ikusi, eta gu nahian gaude. Gauza hauengatik, guri adostu eta etzan gurekin. 13:21 Baina nahi ez baduzu, zure kontra testigantza emango dugu gazte bat zurekin zegoela eta, horregatik, zure neskameak bidali dituzu zuregandik». 13:22 Susanak hasperen egin zuen eta esan zuen, “I am closed in on every side. For if I do this thing, it is death to me; yet if I do not do it, I will not escape your hands. 13:23 But it is better for me to fall unavoidably into your hands, than to sin in the sight of the Lord.” 13:24 And Susanna cried out with a loud voice, but the elders also cried out against her. 13:25 And one of them hurried to the door of the orchard and opened it. 13:26 Eta beraz, when the servants of the house heard the outcry in the orchard, they rushed in by the back door to see what was happening. 13:27 But after the old men had spoken, the servants were greatly ashamed, for there had never been anything of this kind said about Susanna. And it happened on the next day, 13:28 when the people came to Joakim her husband, that the two appointed elders also came, Susanaren kontrako plan gaiztoz betea, bera hiltzeko. 13:29 Eta esan zuten jendearen aurrean, «Bidali Susanna, Hilkiasen alaba, Joakimen emaztea». Eta berehala bidali zuten haren bila. 13:30 Eta gurasoekin heldu zen, eta semeak, eta bere senide guztiak. 13:33 Horregatik, bereak eta ezagutzen zuten guztiek negar egiten zuten. 13:34 Hala ere, bi zahar izendatu zituzten, jendearen erdian altxatuz, jarri haien eskuak buruan. 13:35 Eta negarrez, zerura begiratu zuen, zeren bere bihotzak sinetsi zuen Jaunagan. 13:36 Eta izendatutako zaharrek esan zuten, «Hitz egiten ari ginela baratzean ibilaldi bat bakarrik, hau bi neskamerekin sartu zen, eta baratzeko ateak itxi zituen, eta neskameak urrundu zituen. 13:37 Eta gizon gazte bat etorri zitzaion, ezkutuan zegoena, eta berarekin etzan zen. 13:38 Gainera, baratzeko txoko batean geundela, seeing this wickedness, we ran up to them, and we saw them consorting together. 13:39 And, Hain zuzen ere, we were unable to catch him, because he was stronger than us, and opening the doors, he leaped out. 13:40 Baina, since we had apprehended this one, we demanded to know who the young man was, but she was unwilling to tell us. On this matter, we are witnesses.” 13:41 The multitude believed them, just as if they were elders and the judges of the people, and they condemned her to death. 13:42 But Susanna cried out with a loud voice and said, “Eternal God, who knows what is hidden, who knows all things before they happen, 13:43 you know that they have borne false witness against me, eta hara, I must die, though I have done none of these things, which these men have maliciously invented against me.” 13:44 But the Lord heeded her voice. 13:45 And when she was led away to death, the Lord raised up the holy spirit of a young boy, whose name was Daniel. 13:46 And he cried out with a loud voice, “I am clean of the blood of this one.” 13:47 And all the people, turning back towards him, esan zuen, “What is this word that you are saying?” 13:48 But he, while standing in the midst of them, esan zuen, “Are you so foolish, sons of Israel, that without judging and without knowing what the truth is, you have condemned a daughter of Israel? 13:49 Return to judgment, because they have spoken false witness against her.” 13:50 Horregatik, the people returned with haste, and the old men said to him, “Come and sit down in our midst and show us, since God has given you the honor of old age.” 13:51 And Daniel said to them, “Separate these at a distance from one another, and I will judge between them.” 13:52 Eta beraz, when they were divided, one from the other, he called one of them, eta esan zion, “You deep-rooted ancient evil, now your sins have come out, which you have committed before, 13:53 judging unjust judgments, oppressing the innocent, and setting free the guilty, though the Lord declares, ‘The innocent and the just you must not put to death.’ 13:54 Orain bada, if you saw her, declare under which tree you saw them conversing together.” He said, “Under an evergreen mastic tree.” 13:55 But Daniel said, “Truly, you have lied against your own head. For behold, the angel of God, having received the sentence from him, will split you down the middle. 13:56 And, having put him aside, he commanded the other to approach, eta esan zion, “You offspring of Canaan, and not of Judah, beauty has deceived you, and desire has perverted your heart. 13:57 Thus did you do to the daughters of Israel, eta haiek, out of fear, consorted with you, but a daughter of Judah would not tolerate your iniquity. 13:58 Orain bada, declare to me, under which tree you caught them conversing together.” He said, “Under an evergreen oak tree.” 13:59 And Daniel said to him, “Truly, you also have lied against your own head. For the angel of the Lord waits, holding a sword, to cut you down the middle and put you to death.” 13:60 And then the entire assembly cried out in a loud voice, and they blessed God, who saves those who hope in him. 13:61 And they rose up against the two appointed elders, (for Daniel had convicted them, by their own mouth, of bearing false witness,) and they did to them just as they had wickedly done against their neighbor, 13:62 so as to act according to the law of Moses. And they put them to death, and innocent blood was saved on that day. Joan 8: 1- 11
8:1 But Jesus continued on to the Mount of Olives. 8:2 And early in the morning, he went again to the temple; and all the people came to him. And sitting down, he taught them. 8:3 Now the scribes and Pharisees brought forward a woman caught in adultery, and they stood her in front of them. 8:4 And they said to him: “Teacher, this woman was just now caught in adultery. 8:5 And in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such a one. Horregatik, what do you say?” 8:6 But they were saying this to test him, so that they might be able to accuse him. Then Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the earth. 8:7 Eta gero, when they persevered in questioning him, he stood upright and said to them, “Let whoever is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her.” 8:8 And bending down again, he wrote on the earth. 8:9 But upon hearing this, they went away, one by one, beginning with the eldest. And Jesus alone remained, with the woman standing in front of him. 8:10 Then Jesus, raising himself up, said to her: “Woman, where are those who accused you? Has no one condemned you?” 8:11 Eta esan zuen, “No one, Lord.” Then Jesus said: “Neither will I condemn you. Zoaz, and now do not choose to sin anymore.”

The Book of Jeremiah 31: 31-34
31:31 Hara, the days are approaching, dio Jaunak, when I will form a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 31:32 not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand, so as to lead them away from the land of Egypt, the covenant which they nullified, though I was the ruler over them, dio Jaunak. 31:33 But this will be the covenant that I will form with the house of Israel, after those days, dio Jaunak: I will give my law to their inner most being, and I will write it upon their heart. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 31:34 And they will no longer teach, a man his neighbor, and a man his brother, esanez: ‘Know the Lord.’ For all will know me, from the littlest of them even to the greatest, dio Jaunak. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will no longer remember their sin. Hebrearrei gutuna 5: 7-9
5:7 It is Christ who, in the days of his flesh, with a strong cry and tears, offered prayers and supplications to the One who was able to save him from death, and who was heard because of his reverence. 5:8 And although, zalantzarik gabe, he is the Son of God, he learned obedience by the things that he suffered. 5:9 And having reached his consummation, he was made, for all who are obedient to him, the cause of eternal salvation, The Holy Gospel According to John 12: 20: 33
12:20 Now there were certain Gentiles among those who went up so that they might worship on the feast day. 12:21 Horregatik, these approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and they petitioned him, esanez: “Sir, we want to see Jesus.” 12:22 Philip went and told Andrew. Next, Andrew and Philip told Jesus. 12:23 But Jesus answered them by saying: “The hour arrives when the Son of man shall be glorified. 12:24 Amen, amen, esaten dizut, unless the grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, 12:25 bakarrik geratzen da. Baina hiltzen bada, fruitu asko ematen du. Bere bizitza maite duena, galduko du. Eta mundu honetan bere bizitza gorrotatzen duenak, betiko bizitzarako gordetzen du. 12:26 Norbaitek balio badu, jarrai dezala. Eta non nagoen, han ere nire ministroa izango da. Norbaitek zerbitzatu badit, ene Aitak ohoratuko du. 12:27 Orain nire arima nahasia da. Eta zer esan behar dut? Aita, salba nazazu ordu honetatik? Baina horregatik etorri naiz ordu honetara. 12:28 Aita, goretsi zure izena!” Eta orduan ahots bat etorri zen zerutik, «Lortu egin dut, eta berriro gloriatuko dut». 12:29 Horregatik, jendetza, hurbil zegoena eta entzun zuena, trumoia bezalakoa zela esan zuen. Beste batzuek esaten zuten, "Aingeru bat berarekin hitz egiten ari zen". 12:30 Jesusek erantzun eta esan zuen: «Ahots hau etorri zen, ez niregatik, baina zure mesedetan. 12:31 Now is the judgment of the world. Now will the prince of this world be cast out. 12:32 And when I have been lifted up from the earth, I will draw all things to myself.” 12:33 (Now he said this, signifying what kind of death he would die.)
