The Book of Leviticus 19:1-2, 17-18
19:1 | labhair an Tighearna ri Maois, ag ràdh: |
19:2 | Labhair ri co-chruinneachadh chloinn Israeil uile, agus abair thusa riu: Bi naomh, airson mi, an Tighearna bhur Dia, tha mi naomh. |
19:16 | Cha bhith thu nad neach-bacadh, no fear-brathaidh, am measg an t-sluaigh. Cha seas thu an aghaidh fuil do choimhearsnaich. Is mise an Tighearna. |
19:17 | Cha bhi fuath agad do d' bhràthair ann ad chridhe, ach cronaich e gu follaiseach, air eagal gu'm bi peacadh agad air. |
19:18 | Na bi a 'sireadh dìoghaltas, ni mò bu chòir dhut a bhith mothachail air dochann do cho-shaoranaich. Gràdhaichidh tu do charaid mar thu fèin. Is mise an Tighearna. |

First Letter of St. Pòl do na Corintianaich 3: 16-23
3:16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God lives within you?
3:17 But if anyone violates the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, and you are that Temple.
3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may be truly wise.
3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. And so it has been written: “I will catch the wise in their own astuteness.”
3:20 Agus a-rithist: “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”
3:21 Agus mar sin, let no one glory in men.
3:22 For all is yours: whether Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future. Tha, all is yours.
3:23 But you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
Soisgeul
Mata 5: 38-48
5:38 Tha thu air cluinntinn gun deach a ràdh: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’
5:39 Ach tha mi ag ràdh ribh, do not resist one who is evil, but if anyone will have struck you on your right cheek, offer to him the other also.
5:40 And anyone who wishes to contend with you in judgment, and to take away your tunic, release to him your cloak also.
5:41 And whoever will have compelled you for one thousand steps, go with him even for two thousand steps.
5:42 Whoever asks of you, give to him. And if anyone would borrow from you, do not turn away from him.
5:43 Tha thu air cluinntinn gun deach a ràdh, ‘Gràdhaichidh tu do choimhearsnach, agus bithidh fuath agad do d' nàmhaid."
5:44 Ach tha mi ag ràdh ribh: Gràdhaich do naimhdean. Dean maith dhoibhsan aig am bheil fuath dhuit. Agus dèan ùrnaigh airson an fheadhainn a tha a 'dèanamh geur-leanmhainn agus a' dèanamh cron ort.
5:45 San dòigh seo, bithidh sibh 'n 'ur mic do 'ur n-Athair, a tha air neamh. Bheir e air a ghrian èirigh air na nithean matha is dona, agus bheir e air uisgeachadh air na fìreanaibh agus air na h-eucorach.
5:46 Oir ma ghràdhaicheas tu iadsan aig a bheil gràdh dhut, ciod an duais a gheibh thu? Na bi eadhon luchd-cruinneachaidh chìsean gan giùlan fhèin mar seo?
5:47 Agus ma chuireas tu fàilte air do bhràithrean a-mhàin, dè tuilleadh a rinn thu? Na bitheadh eadhon na pàganaich gan giùlan fhèin mar seo?
5:48 Uime sin, bi foirfe, eadhon mar a tha bhur n-Athair neamhaidh coimhlionta."
