Jonah 1

1:1 Kuma maganar Ubangiji ta zo ga Jonah da ɗan amittai, yana cewa:

1:3 And Jonah rose in order to flee from the face of the Lord to Tarshish. And he went down to Joppa and found a ship bound for Tarshish. And he paid its fare, and he went down into it, in order to go with them to Tarshish from the face of the Lord.
1:4 But the Lord sent a great wind into the sea. And a great tempest took place in the sea, and the ship was in danger of being crushed.
1:5 And the mariners were afraid, and the men cried out to their god. And they threw the containers that were in the ship into the sea in order to lighten it of them. And Jonah went down into the interior of the ship, and he fell into a painful deep sleep.
1:6 And the helmsman approached him, sai ya ce masa, “Why are you weighed down with sleep? Tashi, call upon your God, so perhaps God will be mindful of us and we might not perish.”
1:7 And a man said to his shipmate, "Ku zo, and let us cast lots, so that we may know why this disaster is upon us.” And they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
1:8 Kuma suka ce masa: “Explain to us what is the reason that this disaster is upon us. What is your work? Which is your country? Kuma ina za ka? Or which people are you from?"
1:9 Sai ya ce musu, “I am Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

1:12 Sai ya ce musu, “Take me, and cast me into the sea, and the sea will cease for you. For I know that it is because of me that this great tempest has come upon you.”
1:13 And the men were rowing, so as to return to dry land, but they did not succeed. For the sea flowed and swelled against them.
1:14 Kuma suka yi kira ga Ubangiji, kuma suka ce, "Mun roƙonka ka, Ubangijinsu, do not let us perish for this man’s life, and do not attribute to us innocent blood. Na ka, Ubangijinsu, have done just as it pleased you.”
1:15 And they took Jonah and cast him into the sea. And the sea was stilled from its fury.
1:16 And the men feared the Lord greatly, and they sacrificed victims to the Lord, and they made vows.

Jonah 2

2:1 And the Lord prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights.
2:2 And Jonah prayed to the Lord, ya Allah, from the belly of the fish.
2:3 Sai ya ce: “I cried out to the Lord from my tribulation, kuma ya yi wa dã'a ni. From the belly of hell, Na yi ihu, and you heeded my voice.
2:4 And you have thrown me into the deep, a cikin zuciya na teku, and a flood has encircled me. All your whirlpools and your waves have passed over me.

2:8 When my soul was in anguish within me, I called to mind the Lord, so that my prayer might come to you, to your holy temple.
2:9 Those who in vain observe vanities, abandon their own mercy.

2:11 And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

Jonah 3

3:1 Kuma maganar Ubangiji ta zo ga Jonah a karo na biyu, yana cewa:
3:2 Tashi, kuma tafi Nineba, babban birnin. Kuma wa'azi da shi da wa'azi cewa ina gaya maka.
3:3 Kuma Jonah tashi, kuma sai ya tafi Nineba daidai da maganar Ubangiji. Kuma Nineba wani babban birni na tafiya kwana uku.
3:4 Kuma Jonah fara shiga cikin birnin wata rana ta tafiya. Kuma ya yi kira, ya ce, "Arba'in kwana kuma da Nineba za a hallaka."
3:5 Kuma da mutanen Nineba ya yi ĩmãni da Allah. Kuma suka yi shelar azumi, kuma su sa tsummoki, daga cikin mafi girma da duk hanyar da kalla.
3:6 Kuma kalmar isa ga Sarkin Nineba. Kuma ya tashi daga kursiyinsa, kuma ya jefa kashe rigarsa daga kansa, kuma aka saye da tufafin makoki, kuma ya zauna cikin toka.
3:7 Kuma ya yi kira, kuma ya yi magana: "A cikin Nineba, daga bakin sarki da sarakunansa na, bari a ce: Mutãne da dabbõbi da shanu, da tumaki ba ku ɗanɗani wani abu. Ba su zama suna ciyar da ko sha ruwa.

Jonah 4

4:1 Kuma Jonah aka shãfe tare da mai girma baƙin ciki, kuma ya ya yi fushi.

4:10 Sai Ubangiji ya ce, "Ka yi baƙin ciki a kan aiwi, abin da ba ka wahala da kuma abin da za ka ba su tsirar, ko da yake shi an haife shi a lokacin wani dare, kuma a lokacin wani dare halaka.
4:11 Kuma zan ba ya kiyaye Nineba, babban birnin, da akwai fiye da ɗari da dubu ashirin maza, wanda ba su sani ba bambanci tsakanin dama da hagu, kuma mutane da yawa dabbobi?"
