1:12	Blessed is the man who suffers temptation. For when he has been proven, he shall receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him.
1:13	No one should say, when he is tempted, that he was tempted by God. For God does not entice toward evils, and he himself tempts no one.
1:14	Iżda tassew, each one is tempted by his own desires, having been enticed and drawn away.
1:15	Wara dan, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. Yet truly sin, when it has been consummated, produces death.
1:16	U għalhekk, do not choose to go astray, ħuti l-aktar għeżież.
1:17	Every excellent gift and every perfect gift is from above, descending from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor any shadow of alteration.
1:18	For by his own will he produced us through the Word of truth, so that we might be a kind of beginning among his creatures.

8:14	U insew jieħdu l-ħobż. U ma kellhomx magħhom fid-dgħajsa, ħlief ħobża waħda.
8:15	U tahom struzzjonijiet, qal: “Iqis u oqgħod attent mill-ħmira tal-Fariżej u mill-ħmira ta’ Erodi.”
8:16	U ddiskutew dan maʼ xulxin, qal, “Għax m’għandniex ħobż.”
8:17	U Ġesù, jafu dan, qalilhom: “Għaliex tqis li huwa għax m’għandekx ħobż? Għadek ma tafx jew tifhimx? Għad għandek l-għama f'qalbek?
8:18	Li jkollok l-għajnejn, ma tarax? U li jkollhom widnejn, ma tisma’? Ma tiftakarx,
8:19	meta kissejt il-ħames mħabba fost il-ħamest elef, kemm qfief mimli biċċiet inti ħadt?” Qalulu, “Tnax.”
8:20	“U meta s-seba’ ħobżiet kienu fost l-erbat elef, kemm qfief ta’ frak ħadt?” U qalulu, "Sebgħa."
8:21	U qalilhom, “Kif għadek ma tifhimx?”
