Ch 22 Matthew

Matthew 22

22:1 Iyo wax ka qabashada, Jesus again spoke to them in parables, oo wuxuu ku yidhi:
22:2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who was king, who celebrated a wedding for his son.
22:3 And he sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding. But they were not willing to come.
22:4 Mar, he sent other servants, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, ‘Tell the invited: Bal eeg, I have prepared my meal. My bulls and fatlings have been killed, and all is ready. Come to the wedding.’
22:5 But they ignored this and they went away: one to his country estate, and another to his business.
22:6 Oo weliba sida runta ah, the rest took hold of his servants and, having treated them with contempt, killed them.
22:7 But when the king heard this, he was angry. And sending out his armies, he destroyed those murderers, and he burned their city.
22:8 Then he said to his servants: ‘The wedding, dhab ahaan, has been prepared. But those who were invited were not worthy.
22:9 Sidaa darteed, go out to the ways, and call whomever you will find to the wedding.’
22:10 And his servants, departing into the ways, gathered all those whom they found, bad and good, and the wedding was filled with guests.
22:11 Then the king entered to see the guests. And he saw a man there who was not clothed in a wedding garment.
22:12 Oo isna wuxuu ku yidhi isagii, Saaxiibow, how is it that you have entered here without having a wedding garment?’ But he was dumbstruck.
22:13 Then the king said to the ministers: ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the outer darkness, halkaas waxaa jiri doonta baroor iyo ilko jirriqsi.
22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.’ ”
22:15 Markaasaa Farrisiintii, bixiddaada, took counsel as to how they might entrap him in speech.
22:16 And they sent their disciples to him, with the Herodians, oo wuxuu ku yidhi: "Macallimow, we know that you are truthful, and that you teach the way of God in truth, and that the influence of others is nothing to you. For you do not consider the reputation of men.
22:17 Sidaa darteed, tell us, how does it seem to you? Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar, ama maya?"
22:18 Laakiin Ciise, knowing their wickedness, sheegay: "Maxaad ii jirrabaysaan, labawejiilayaasha?
22:19 Show me the coin of the census tax.” And they offered him a denarius.
22:20 Markaasaa Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi iyagii, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?"
22:21 Waxay ku yidhaahdeen, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Then render to Caesar what is of Caesar; and to God what is of God.”
22:22 And hearing this, waxay la yaabeen. And having left him behind, ayay ka tageen.
22:23 Oo maalintaas, the Sadducees, who say there is to be no resurrection, isaga soo dhawaaday. Oo waxay weyddiiyeen,
22:24 oo wuxuu ku yidhi: "Macallimow, Markaasaa Muuse wuxuu yidhi: If anyone will have died, having no son, his brother shall marry his wife, and he shall raise up offspring to his brother.
22:25 Now there were seven brothers with us. And the first, having taken a wife, dhintay. And having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother:
22:26 similarly with the second, iyo kii saddexaad, even to the seventh.
22:27 Oo la soo dhaafay oo dhan, the woman also passed away.
22:28 In the resurrection, ka dibna, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.”
22:29 But Jesus responded to them by saying: “You have gone astray by knowing neither the Scriptures, iyo xoogga Ilaah.
22:30 For in the resurrection, ma guursan doonaan, hana guur baa la siin. Halkii, they shall be like the Angels of God in heaven.
22:31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken by God, saying to you:
22:32 'Anigu waxaan ahay Ilaaha Ibraahim, iyo Ilaaha Isxaaq, iyo Ilaaha Yacquub?’ He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
22:33 And when the crowds heard this, they wondered at his doctrine.
22:34 Laakiin Farrisiintii, hearing that he had caused the Sadducees to be silent, came together as one.
22:35 Markaasaa midkood wuxuu ku, a doctor of the law, questioned him, to test him:
22:36 "Macallimow, which is the great commandment in the law?"
22:37 Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi: “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God from all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
22:38 This is the greatest and first commandment.
22:39 Laakiin labaad waa midka ah in ay: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
22:40 On these two commandments the entire law depends, and also the prophets.”
22:41 Markaasuu, when the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus questioned them,
22:42 oo wuxuu ku yidhi: “What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?"Waxay ku yidhaahdeen, “David’s.”
22:43 Wuxuu iyaga ku yidhi: “Then how can David, in the Spirit, call him Lord, oo wuxuu ku yidhi:
22:44 'Wuxuu Sayidkayga ku yidhi Eebahay: Midigtayda fadhiiso at, until I make your enemies your footstool?'
22:45 Sidaas daraaddeed, if David calls him Lord, how can he be his son?"
22:46 And no one was able to respond to him a word. And neither did anyone dare, from that day forward, to question him.
