58:7	Bryt ditt bröd med de hungriga, och led de utblottade och hemlösa in i ditt hus. När du ser någon naken, täcka honom, och förakta inte ditt eget kött.
58:8	Då kommer ditt ljus att bryta fram som morgonen, och din hälsa förbättras snabbt, och din rättvisa skall gå framför ditt ansikte, och Herrens härlighet ska samla dig.
58:9	Då ringer du, och Herren kommer att lyssna; du kommer att gråta, och han kommer att säga, "Här är jag,” om du tar bort kedjorna från din mitt, och sluta peka finger och tala det som inte är nyttigt.
58:10	När du utgjuter ditt liv för de hungriga, och du tillfredsställer den plågade själen, då kommer ditt ljus att stiga upp i mörkret, och ditt mörker kommer att bli som mitt på dagen.

2:1	Och så, bröder, when I came to you, announcing to you the testimony of Christ, I did not bring exalted words or lofty wisdom.
2:2	For I did not judge myself to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
2:3	And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and with much trembling.
2:4	And my words and preaching were not the persuasive words of human wisdom, but were a manifestation of the Spirit and of virtue,
2:5	so that your faith would not be based on the wisdom of men, but on the virtue of God.

5:13	You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, with what will it be salted? It is no longer useful at all, except to be cast out and trampled under by men.
5:14	You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
5:15	And they do not light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that it may shine to all who are in the house.
5:16	Dåså, let your light shine in the sight of men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father, vem är i himlen.
