Lukeminen

Apostolien teot 11: 21-26, 13: 1-3

11:21	Ja Herran käsi oli heidän kanssaan. Ja suuri joukko uskoi ja kääntyi Herran puoleen.
11:22	Nyt uutinen tuli Jerusalemin seurakunnan korviin näistä asioista, ja he lähettivät Barnabaan Antiokiaan asti.
11:23	Ja kun hän oli saapunut sinne ja nähnyt Jumalan armon, hän iloitsi. Ja hän kehotti heitä kaikkia pysymään Herrassa päättäväisellä sydämellä.
11:24	Sillä hän oli hyvä mies, ja hän täyttyi Pyhällä Hengellä ja uskolla. Ja suuri joukko lisättiin Herraan.
11:25	Sitten Barnabas lähti Tarsokseen, jotta hän voisi etsiä Saulia. Ja kun hän oli löytänyt hänet, hän vei hänet Antiokiaan.
11:26	Ja he keskustelivat siellä kirkossa kokonaisen vuoden. Ja he opettivat niin suuren joukon, että Antiokiassa opetuslapset tunnettiin ensimmäisen kerran Christianin nimellä.

Apostolien teot 13

13:1	Now there were, in the Church at Antioch, prophets and teachers, among whom were Barnabas, and Simon, who was called the Black, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen, who was the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
13:2	Now as they were ministering for the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said to them: “Separate Saul and Barnabas for me, for the work for which I have selected them.”
13:3	Sitten, fasting and praying and imposing their hands upon them, they sent them away.

Evankeliumi

Pyhä evankeliumi Matteuksen mukaan 10: 7-13

10:7	And going forth, preach, sanonta: ‘For the kingdom of heaven has drawn near.’
10:8	Cure the infirm, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You have received freely, so give freely.
10:9	Do not choose to possess gold, nor silver, nor money in your belts,
10:10	nor provisions for the journey, nor two tunics, nor shoes, nor a staff. For the laborer deserves his portion.
10:11	Now, into whatever city or town you will enter, inquire as to who is worthy within it. And stay there until you depart.
10:12	Sitten, when you enter into the house, greet it, sanonta, ‘Peace to this house.’
10:13	Ja jos, todellakin, that house is worthy, your peace will rest upon it. But if it is not worthy, your peace will return to you.
