Lukeminen

Paljastus 22: 1-7

22:1	Ja hän näytti minulle elämän veden virran, loistaa kuin kristalli, joka lähtee Jumalan ja Karitsan valtaistuimelta.
22:2	Keskellä pääkatua, ja joen molemmin puolin, oli elämän puu, kantaa kaksitoista hedelmää, tarjoaa yhden hedelmän joka kuukausi, ja puun lehdet ovat kansojen terveydeksi.
22:3	Eikä mikään kirous ole enää. Mutta Jumalan ja Karitsan valtaistuin on oleva siinä, ja hänen palvelijansa palvelevat häntä.
22:4	Ja he saavat nähdä hänen kasvonsa. Ja hänen nimensä on oleva heidän otsassaan.
22:5	Eikä yötä ole enää. Ja he eivät tarvitse lampun valoa, eikä auringon valoa, sillä Herra Jumala valaisee heidät. Ja he hallitsevat aina ja ikuisesti.
22:6	Ja hän sanoi minulle: “These words are entirely faithful and true.” And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his Angel to reveal to his servant what must occur soon:
22:7	“For behold, I am approaching quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Pyhä evankeliumi Luukkaan mukaan 22: 34-36

21:34	But be attentive to yourselves, lest perhaps your hearts may be weighed down by self-indulgence and inebriation and the cares of this life. And then that day may overwhelm you suddenly.
21:35	For like a snare it will overwhelm all those who sit upon the face of the entire earth.
21:36	Ja niin, be vigilant, praying at all times, so that you may be held worthy to escape from all these things, which are in the future, and to stand before the Son of man.”
