પ્રથમ વાંચન

પ્રોફેટ યશાયાહનું પુસ્તક 42: 1-4, 6-7

42:1	જુઓ મારો સેવક, હું તેને નિભાવીશ, મારા ચૂંટાયેલા, તેની સાથે મારો આત્મા પ્રસન્ન છે. મેં તેના પર મારો આત્મા મોકલ્યો છે. તે રાષ્ટ્રોને ચુકાદો આપશે.
42:2	તે બૂમો પાડશે નહીં, અને તે કોઈની તરફેણ કરશે નહિ; ન તો તેનો અવાજ વિદેશમાં સંભળાશે.
42:3	વાટેલ રીડ તે તોડશે નહીં, અને તે ધૂંધવાતી વાટ ઓલવશે નહિ. તે ચુકાદાને સત્ય તરફ દોરી જશે.
42:4	તે દુઃખી કે પરેશાન થશે નહિ, જ્યાં સુધી તે પૃથ્વી પર ચુકાદો સ્થાપિત ન કરે. અને ટાપુઓ તેના કાયદાની રાહ જોશે.

10:34	પછી, Peter, opening his mouth, જણાવ્યું હતું: “I have concluded in truth that God is not a respecter of persons.
10:35	But within every nation, whoever fears him and works justice is acceptable to him.
10:36	God sent the Word to the sons of Israel, announcing the peace through Jesus Christ, for he is the Lord of all.
10:37	You know that the Word has been made known throughout all Judea. For beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached,
10:38	Jesus of Nazareth, whom God anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, traveled around doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil. For God was with him.

1:7	And he preached, કહેતા: “One stronger than me comes after me. I am not worthy to reach down and loosen the laces of his shoes.
1:8	I have baptized you with water. છતાં સાચે જ, he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
1:9	અને એવું થયું, તે દિવસોમાં, Jesus arrived from Nazareth of Galilee. And he was baptized by John in the Jordan.
1:10	And immediately, upon ascending from the water, he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit, કબૂતરની જેમ, descending, and remaining with him.
1:11	And there was a voice from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.
