Olvasás

Jeremiás 18: 18-20

 

18:18	És azt mondták: "Jön, and let us devise a plan against Jeremiah. For the law will not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor a sermon from the prophet. Jön, and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us pay no attention to any of his words.”
18:19	Attend to me, ó Uram, and hear the voice of my adversaries.
18:20	Should evil be rendered for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul! Remember that I have stood in your sight, so as to speak on their behalf for good, and to avert your indignation from them.

The Holy Gospel According Mark 20: 17-28

20:17	És Jézus, ascending to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside in private and said to them:
20:18	„Íme, we are ascending to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be handed over to the leaders of the priests and to the scribes. And they shall condemn him to death.
20:19	And they shall hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified. And on the third day, he shall rise again.”
20:20	Ekkor odament hozzá Zebedeus fiainak anyja, a fiaival, imádva őt, és kér valamit tőle.
20:21	És azt mondta neki, "Mit akarsz?– mondta neki, „Nyilatkozd, hogy ezek, a két fiam, ülhet, egyet a jobb kezednél, a másik pedig a bal oldalon, a te királyságodban."
20:22	De Jézus, válaszolva, mondott: „Nem tudod, mit kérdezel. Tudsz-e inni a kehelyből, amiből inni fogok?– mondták neki, "Képesek vagyunk."
20:23	Azt mondta nekik: – A kehelyemből, valóban, inni fogsz. De az, hogy a jobb vagy a bal oldalamon üljek, nem az enyém, hogy megadjam neked, hanem azoknak szól, akiknek Atyám elkészítette.”
20:24	És a tíz, ennek hallatán, felháborodott a két testvérre.
20:25	Jézus azonban magához hívta őket, és így szólt: „Tudjátok, hogy a pogányok közül az elsők az ő uralkodóik, és hogy a nagyobbak hatalmat gyakoroljanak közöttük.
20:26	Ez köztetek nem így lesz. De aki nagyobb akar lenni közöttetek, hadd legyen a minisztered.
20:27	És aki első akar lenni közöttetek, ő lesz a szolgád,
20:28	mint ahogy az Emberfia sem azért jött, hogy neki szolgáljanak, hanem szolgálni, és életét adja váltságul sokakért.”
