40:1	“Utješi se, biti utješen, O narode moj!” kaže vaš Bog.
40:2	Razgovarajte sa srcem Jerusalima, i dozovi je! Jer njena zloba je došla do kraja. Njeno bezakonje je oprošteno. Ona je primila dvostruko za sve svoje grijehe iz ruke Gospodnje.
40:3	Glas onoga koji viče u pustinji: “Pripremite put Gospodnji! Ispravite staze našeg Boga, na usamljenom mestu.
40:4	Svaka dolina će biti uzvišena, i svaka planina i brdo će se spustiti. I krivo će se ispraviti, a neravni će postati ravni putevi.
40:5	I slava Gospodnja će se otkriti. And all flesh together will see that the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
40:9	You who evangelize Zion, climb a high mountain! You who evangelize Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength! Lift it up! Ne boj se! Say to the cities of Judah: “Evo, tvoj Bog!”
40:10	Gle, the Lord God will arrive in strength, and his arm will rule. Gle, njegova nagrada je kod njega, and his work is before him.
40:11	He will pasture his flock like a shepherd. He will gather together the lambs with his arm, and he will lift them up to his bosom, and he himself will carry the very young.
