Čitanje

Knjiga Sirahova 48: 1-14

48:1	I prorok Ilija je ustao kao oganj, a njegova riječ je gorjela kao baklja.
48:2	Doveo je glad na njih, a onih koji su ga izazvali u svojoj zavisti postalo je malo. Jer nisu mogli podnijeti Gospodnje propise.
48:3	Po Reči Gospodnjoj, zatvorio je nebesa, i spustio je vatru s neba tri puta.
48:4	Na ovaj način, Ilija je bio veličan u svojim čudesnim djelima. Pa ko može reći da je sličan tebi po slavi?
48:5	He raised up a dead man from the grave, from the fate of death, by the word of the Lord God.
48:6	He threw down kings unto perdition, and he easily shattered their power and boasting from his bed.
48:7	He heeded the judgment at Sinai, and the judgments of punishment at Horeb.
48:8	He anointed kings unto repentance, and he chose the prophets who would follow after him.
48:9	Bio je primljen u vatreni vihor, u brza kola sa vatrenim konjima.
48:10	On je zapisan u sudovima vremena, kako bi umanjili gnjev Gospodnji, da pomiri srce oca sa sinom, i obnoviti Jakovljeva plemena.
48:11	Blago onima koji su te vidjeli, i koje je krasilo tvoje prijateljstvo.
48:12	For we live only in our life, and after death, our name will not be the same.
48:13	Svakako, Elijah was covered by the whirlwind, and his spirit was completed in Elisha. In his days, he was not fearful of the ruler, and no power defeated him.
48:14	No word overwhelmed him, and after death, his body prophesied.

Sveto jevanđelje po Mateju 6: 7-15

6:7	And when praying, do not choose many words, as the pagans do. For they think that by their excess of words they might be heeded.
6:8	Stoga, do not choose to imitate them. For your Father knows what your needs may be, even before you ask him.
6:9	Stoga, you shall pray in this way: Our Father, koji je na nebu: May your name be kept holy.
6:10	May your kingdom come. May your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth.
6:11	Give us this day our life-sustaining bread.
6:12	And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
6:13	I ne uvedi nas u iskušenje. But free us from evil. Amen.
6:14	For if you will forgive men their sins, your heavenly Father also will forgive you your offenses.
6:15	But if you will not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your sins.
