كتاب الملوك الأول 18: 41-46
| 18:41 | And Elijah said to Ahab “Ascend; eat and drink. For there is the sound of an abundance of rain.” |
| 18:42 | Ahab ascended, so that he might eat and drink. But Elijah ascended to the top of Carmel, and bending down to the ground, he placed his face between his knees. |
| 18:43 | And he said to his servant, "اصعد, and gaze out toward the sea.” And when he had ascended, and had contemplated, هو قال, “There is nothing.” And again, قال له, “Return seven times.” |
| 18:44 | And at the seventh time, ها, a little cloud ascended from the sea like the footstep of a man. و قال: "اصعد, and say to Ahab, ‘Yoke your chariot, and descend; خلاف ذلك, the rain may prevent you.’ ” |
| 18:45 | And as he was turning himself this way and that, ها, the heavens were darkened, and there were clouds and wind, and a great rainstorm occurred. And so Ahab, going up, went away to Jezreel. |
| 18:46 | And the hand of the Lord was upon Elijah. And cinching his waist, he ran before Ahab, until he arrived at Jezreel. |

| 5:20 | لاني اقول لكم, أنه ما لم يتجاوز عدلك عدالة الكتبة والفريسيين فلن تدخل ملكوت السموات.. |
| 5:21 | لقد سمعتم أنه قيل للقدماء: لا تقتل; كل من يقتل سيكون عرضة للحكم. |
| 5:22 | لكن اقول لكم, ان كل من يغضب على اخيه يستوجب القضاء. ولكن من دعا أخاه, 'غبي,سيكون مسؤولاً أمام المجلس. ثم, كل من يدعوه, 'عديم القيمة,سيكون عرضة لنيران الجحيم. |
| 5:23 | لذلك, إذا قدمت هديتك على المذبح, وهناك تتذكر أن لأخيك شيئًا ضدك, |
| 5:24 | اترك هديتك هناك, قبل المذبح, واذهب اولا لتصالح اخيك, وبعد ذلك يمكنك الاقتراب من هديتك وتقديمها. |
| 5:25 | تصالح مع خصمك بسرعة, بينما أنت لا تزال في الطريق معه, لئلا يسلمك الخصم الى القاضي, وقد يسلمك القاضي إلى الضابط, وتلقى في السجن. |
| 5:26 | آمين اقول لكم, لا تخرج من هناك, حتى تسدد ربع السنة الأخير. |
