And they went again to Jerusalem. And when he was walking in the temple, زعماء الكهنة, والكتبة, and the elders approached him. |

فقالوا له: "بأي سلطان تفعلون هذه الأمور? And who has given you this authority, so that you would do these things?" |

لكن ردا على ذلك, قال لهم يسوع: “I also will ask you one word, and if you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I do these things. |

معمودية يوحنا: was it from heaven or from men? Answer me.” |

But they discussed it among themselves, قول: "إذا قلنا, 'من السماء,' هو سيقول, "فلماذا لم تصدقه؟"?" |

If we say, "من الرجال.",’ we fear the people. For they all hold that John was a true prophet.” |

والرد, they said to Jesus, “We do not know.” And in response, قال لهم يسوع, "ولا أنا أقول لكم بأي سلطان أفعل هذا" |
