1:1 بول, an Apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to all the saints who are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.

1:2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:3 تبارك الله أبو ربنا يسوع المسيح, الذي باركنا بكل بركة روحية في السماء, في المسيح,

1:4 كما اختارنا فيه قبل تأسيس العالم, حتى نكون قديسين وطاهرين في عينيه, في الصدقة.

1:5 لقد عين لنا التبني كأبناء, من خلال يسوع المسيح, في نفسه, حسب الغرض من إرادته,

1:6 لمدح مجد نعمته, التي وهبنا بها في ابنه الحبيب.

1:7 فيه, لنا الفداء بدمه: غفران الخطايا بما يتفق مع غنى نعمته,

1:8 وهو غزير فينا, بكل حكمة وفطنة.

1:9 فهل يطلعنا على سر إرادته, الذي اقامه في المسيح, بطريقة ترضيه,

1:10 في تدبير ملء الزمان, لتجديد في المسيح كل ما يوجد من خلاله في السماء وعلى الأرض.

11:47	الويل لك, who build the tombs of the prophets, while it is your fathers who killed them!
11:48	Clearly, you are testifying that you consent to the actions of your fathers, because even though they killed them, you build their sepulchers.
11:49	Because of this also, the wisdom of God said: I will send to them Prophets and Apostles, and some of these they will kill or persecute,
11:50	so that the blood of all the Prophets, which has been shed since the foundation of the world, may be charged against this generation:
11:51	from the blood of Abel, even to the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. لذلك أقول لك: it will be required of this generation!
11:52	الويل لك, experts in the law! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You yourselves do not enter, and those who were entering, you would have prohibited.”
11:53	ثم, while he was saying these things to them, the Pharisees and the experts in the law began to insist strongly that he restrain his mouth about many things.
11:54	And waiting to ambush him, they sought something from his mouth that they might seize upon, in order to accuse him.
