செயின்ட் ஜானின் முதல் கடிதம் 3: 11- 21

3:11 For this is the announcement that you heard from the beginning: that you should love one another.
3:12 Do not be like Cain, who was of the evil one, and who killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because his own works were wicked, but his brother’s works were just.
3:13 உலகம் உன்னை வெறுத்தால், சகோதரர்கள், do not be surprised.
3:14 We know that we have passed from death to life. For we love as brothers. காதலிக்காதவன், abides in death.
3:15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within him.
3:16 We know the love of God in this way: because he laid down his life for us. அதனால், we must lay down our lives for our brothers.
3:17 Whoever possesses the goods of this world, and sees his brother to be in need, and yet closes his heart to him: in what way does the love of God abide in him?
3:18 என் சிறிய மகன்கள், வார்த்தைகளில் மட்டும் அன்பு செலுத்த வேண்டாம், ஆனால் வேலைகளிலும் உண்மையிலும்.
3:19 இந்த வழியில், நாம் உண்மையைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள் என்பதை அறிவோம், அவருடைய பார்வையில் நம்முடைய இருதயத்தைப் போற்றுவோம்.
3:20 ஏனென்றால், நம் இதயம் நம்மை நிந்தித்தாலும், கடவுள் நம் இதயத்தை விட பெரியவர், மேலும் அவர் அனைத்தையும் அறிந்தவர்.
3:21 மிகவும் பிரியமானவர், நம் இதயம் நம்மை நிந்திக்காவிடில், நாம் கடவுள் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைக்க முடியும்;
