Ерамія 1: 1, 4-10

1:1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin.

11:4 And the word of the Lord came to me, кажучы: 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. And before you went forth from the womb, I sanctified you. And I made you a prophet to the nations.”

1:6 І я сказаў: “Alas, alas, alas, Lord God! Вось, I do not know how to speak, for I am a boy.”

1:7 І Гасподзь сказаў мне: “Do not choose to say, ‘I am a boy.’ For you shall go forth to everyone to whom I will send you. And you shall speak all that I will command you.

1:8 You should not be afraid before their face. Бо я з вамі, so that I may deliver you,” says the Lord.

1:9 And the Lord put forth his hand, and he touched my mouth. І Гасподзь сказаў мне: «Вось, I have placed my words in your mouth.

1:10 Вось, today I have appointed you over nations and over kingdoms, so that you may root up, and pull down, and destroy, and scatter, and so that you may build and plant.”

Лука 13: 1-9

13:1	And there were present, at that very time, some who were reporting about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate mixed with their sacrifices.
13:2	І адказвае, — сказаў ён ім: “Do you think that these Galileans must have sinned more than all other Galileans, because they suffered so much?
13:3	няма, Я табе кажу. But unless you repent, you will all perish similarly.
13:4	And those eighteen upon whom the tower of Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they also were greater transgressors than all the men living in Jerusalem?
13:5	няма, Я табе кажу. But if you do not repent, you will all perish similarly.”
13:6	And he also told this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree, which was planted in his vineyard. And he came seeking fruit on it, but found none.
13:7	Then he said to the cultivator of the vineyard: «Вось, for these three years I came seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I have found none. Таму, cut it down. For why should it even occupy the land?'
13:8	But in response, - сказаў ён яму: «Госпадзе, let it be for this year also, during which time I will dig around it and add fertilizer.
13:9	І, сапраўды, it should bear fruit. But if not, in the future, you shall cut it down.’ ”
