Reading

The Acts of the Apostles 11: 19-26

11:19	Och några av dem, efter att ha blivit skingrad av förföljelsen som hade inträffat under Stefanus, reste runt, till och med till Fenicien och Cypern och Antiokia, talar Ordet till ingen, utom endast för judar.
11:20	Men några av dessa män från Cypern och Cyrene, när de hade kommit till Antiokia, talade också till grekerna, förkunnar Herren Jesus.
11:21	Och Herrens hand var med dem. Och ett stort antal trodde och omvände sig till Herren.
11:22	Nu kom nyheten till kyrkan i Jerusalem om dessa saker, och de sände Barnabas ända till Antiokia.
11:23	Och när han hade kommit dit och hade sett Guds nåd, han blev glad. Och han uppmanade dem alla att fortsätta i Herren med ett beslutsamt hjärta.
11:24	För han var en god man, och han blev uppfylld av den helige Ande och av tro. Och en stor skara lades till Herren.
11:25	Sedan begav sig Barnabas till Tarsus, så att han kunde söka Saul. Och när han hade hittat honom, han förde honom till Antiokia.
11:26	Och de samtalade där i kyrkan i ett helt år. Och de undervisade en så stor skara, att det var i Antiokia som lärjungarna först var kända under namnet Christian.

The Holy Gospel According to John 10: 22-30

10:22	Now it was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem, and it was winter.
10:23	And Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon.
10:24	And so the Jews surrounded him and said to him: “How long will you hold our souls in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
10:25	Jesus answered them: “I speak to you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in the name of my Father, these offer testimony about me.
10:26	But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep.
10:27	My sheep hear my voice. And I know them, and they follow me.
10:28	And I give them eternal life, and they shall not perish, för evigt. And no one shall seize them from my hand.
10:29	What my Father gave to me is greater than all, and no one is able to seize from the hand of my Father.
10:30	I and the Father are one.”
