First Reading

A Reading From the Acts of the Apostles 10: 34, 37-43

10:34	Sedan, Peter, öppnar munnen, sa: "Jag har i sanning dragit slutsatsen att Gud inte respekterar personer.
10:37	Ni vet att Ordet har blivit känt i hela Judeen. För att börja från Galileen, efter dopet som Johannes predikade,
10:38	Jesus från Nasaret, som Gud smorde med den helige Ande och med kraft, reste runt och gjorde gott och botade alla som var förtryckta av djävulen. Ty Gud var med honom.
10:39	Och vi är vittnen till allt han gjorde i Judéens trakter och i Jerusalem, han som de dödade genom att hänga honom i ett träd.
10:40	Gud uppväckte honom på tredje dagen och lät honom uppenbaras,
10:41	inte till alla människor, utan till de av Gud förutbestämda vittnen, till de av oss som åt och drack med honom efter att han uppstått från de döda.
10:42	Och han instruerade oss att predika för folket, och att vittna om att han är den som av Gud har utsetts att vara domare över levande och döda.
10:43	Till honom bär alla profeterna vittnesbörd om att genom hans namn får alla som tror på honom syndernas förlåtelse.”

Second Reading

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians 3: 1-4

3:1	Därför, if you have risen together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
3:2	Consider the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth.
3:3	For you have died, and so your life is hidden with Christ in God.
3:4	When Christ, your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Gospel

The Holy Gospel According to John 20: 1-9

20:1	Then on the first Sabbath, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and she saw that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb.
20:2	Därför, she ran and went to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and she said to them, “They have taken the Lord away from the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.”
20:3	Därför, Peter departed with the other disciple, and they went to the tomb.
20:4	Now they both ran together, but the other disciple ran more quickly, ahead of Peter, and so he arrived at the tomb first.
20:5	And when he bowed down, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not yet enter.
20:6	Then Simon Peter arrived, following him, and he entered the tomb, and he saw the linen cloths lying there,
20:7	and the separate cloth which had been over his head, not placed with the linen cloths, but in a separate place, wrapped up by itself.
20:8	Then the other disciple, who had arrived first at the tomb, also entered. And he saw and believed.
20:9	For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that it was necessary for him to rise again from the dead.
