6:1	På den tiden, eftersom antalet lärjungar ökade, det inträffade ett knorrande av grekerna mot hebréerna, därför att deras änkor behandlades med förakt i den dagliga tjänsten.
6:2	Och så de tolv, kallar samman mängden av lärjungar, sa: "Det är inte rättvist för oss att lämna Guds ord bakom oss för att tjäna vid borden också.
6:3	Därför, bröder, sök bland er efter sju män med gott vittnesbörd, fylld av den helige Ande och med visdom, vem vi kan utse för detta arbete.
6:4	Ändå verkligen, vi kommer ständigt att vara i bön och i Ordets tjänst."
6:5	Och planen gladde hela skaran. Och de valde Stephen, en man fylld av tro och av den helige Ande, och Filip och Prochorus och Nikanor och Timon och Parmenas och Nicolas, en ny ankomst från Antiokia.
6:6	Dessa ställde de inför apostlarnas åsyn, och medan du ber, de lade händerna på dem.

2:4	And approaching him as if he were a living stone, rejected by men, säkert, but elect and honored by God,

2:9	But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, an acquired people, so that you may announce the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

14:1	“Do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe in me also.
14:2	In my Father’s house, there are many dwelling places. If there were not, I would have told you. For I go to prepare a place for you.
14:3	And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will return again, and then I will take you to myself, so that where I am, you also may be.
14:4	And you know where I am going. And you know the way.”
14:5	Thomas said to him, "Herre, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
14:6	Jesus said to him: “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
14:7	If you had known me, certainly you would also have known my Father. And from now on, you shall know him, and you have seen him.”
14:8	Philip said to him, "Herre, reveal the Father to us, and it is enough for us.”
14:9	Jesus said to him: “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me? Philip, whoever sees me, also sees the Father. How can you say, ‘Reveal the Father to us?’
14:10	Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I am speaking to you, I do not speak from myself. But the Father abiding in me, he does these works.
14:11	Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
14:12	Or else, believe because of these same works. Amen, amen, jag säger till dig, whoever believes in me shall also do the works that I do. And greater things than these shall he do, for I go to the Father.
