First Book of Kings 17: 1-6

17:1 And Elijah the Tishbite, from the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord lives, Izraēla Dievs, in whose sight I stand, there shall not be dew or rain during these years, except by the words of my mouth.”

17:2 And the word of the Lord came to him, sakot:

17:3 “Withdraw from here, and go toward the east, and hide at the torrent Cherith, which is opposite the Jordan.

17:4 And there you shall drink from the torrent. And I have instructed the ravens to feed you there.”

17:5 Tāpēc, he went and acted in accord with the word of the Lord. And going away, he settled by the torrent Cherith, which is opposite the Jordan.

17:6 And the ravens carried bread and flesh to him in the morning, and likewise bread and flesh in the evening. And he drank from the torrent.

Metjū 5: 1-12

5:1	Tad, redzot pūļus, viņš uzkāpa kalnā, un kad viņš bija apsēdies, Viņa mācekļi tuvojās viņam,
5:2	un atverot muti, viņš tos mācīja, sakot:
5:3	“Svētīgi garā nabagie, jo viņiem pieder debesu valstība.
5:4	Svētīgi lēnprātīgie, jo viņi iemantos zemi.
5:5	Svētīgi tie, kas sēro, jo viņi tiks mierināti.
5:6	Svētīgi tie, kas izsalkuši un izslāpuši pēc taisnības, jo tie būs apmierināti.
5:7	Svētīgi ir žēlsirdīgie, jo tie iegūs žēlastību.
5:8	Svētīgi sirdsšķīstie, jo viņi redzēs Dievu.
5:9	Svētīgi miera nesēji, jo tie tiks saukti par Dieva bērniem.
5:10	Svētīgi tie, kas pacieš vajāšanas taisnības dēļ, jo viņiem pieder debesu valstība.
5:11	Svētīgi jūs esat, kad viņi jūs apmelo, un tevi vajāja, un runāja pret jums visu ļaunumu, nepatiesi, manis dēļ:
5:12	priecājies un priecājies, jo jūsu alga debesīs ir bagātīga. Jo tā viņi vajāja praviešus, kas bija pirms jums.
