First Reading

The Book of the Prophet Jonah 3: 1-10

3:1	ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਯੂਨਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਆਇਆ, ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ:
3:2	ਉਠੋ, ਅਤੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਓ, ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ. ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ.
3:3	ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨਾਹ ਉੱਠਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ. ਅਤੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ.
3:4	ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਾ. ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਚੀਕ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
3:5	ਅਤੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ. ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਤੱਕ.
3:6	ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ. ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਚੋਗਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਪਹਿਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰਾਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ.
3:7	ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ: “ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ, ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ, ਇਹ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਵੇ: ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਦ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ. ਨਾ ਉਹ ਖੁਆਵੇ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੇ.
3:8	ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਪੜ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਦਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ.
3:9	ਕੌਣ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਰੱਬ ਮੋੜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੀਏ?"
3:10	ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਦਲ ਗਏ ਸਨ. ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਜੋ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ.

 

Second Reading

The First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 7: 29-31

7:29	ਅਤੇ ਤਾਂ, this is what I say, brothers: The time is short. What remains of it is such that: those who have wives should be as if they had none;
7:30	and those who weep, as though they were not weeping; and those who rejoice, as if they were not rejoicing; and those who buy, as if they possessed nothing;
7:31	and those who use the things of this world, as if they were not using them. For the figure of this world is passing away.

 

Gospel

The Holy Gospel According to Mark 1: 14-20

1:14	Then, after John was handed over, Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,
1:15	ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ: “For the time has been fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
1:16	And passing by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew, casting nets into the sea, for they were fishermen.
1:17	And Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
1:18	And at once abandoning their nets, they followed him.
1:19	And continuing on a little ways from there, he saw James of Zebedee and his brother John, and they were mending their nets in a boat.
1:20	And immediately he called them. And leaving behind their father Zebedee in the boat with his hired hands, they followed him.
