First Reading

First Book of Kings 19: 9, 11-13

9:9 And when he had arrived there, he stayed in a cave. 看哪, the word of the Lord came to him, 并对他说, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

19:11 并且对他说, “Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by. And there was a great and strong wind, tearing apart the mountains, and crushing the rocks before the Lord. But the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind, there was an earthquake. But the Lord was not in the earthquake.

19:12 And after the earthquake, there was a fire. But the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, there was the whisper of a gentle breeze.

19:13 And when Elijah had heard it, he covered his face with his cloak, and going out, he stood at the entrance of the cave. 看哪, there was a voice to him, 说: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” And he responded

罗马书 9: 1-5

9:1 我在基督里说实话; 我没有说谎. 我的良心在圣灵里为我作见证,

9:2 因为我内心的悲伤很大, 心中有绵绵的悲伤.

9:3 因为我渴望我自己可能被基督诅咒, 为了我的兄弟们, 谁是我骨肉之亲.

9:4 这些是以色列人, 儿子收养属于谁, 荣耀和遗嘱, 以及法律的颁布和遵守, 和承诺.

马修 14: 22-33

14:22 And Jesus promptly compelled his disciples to climb into the boat, and to precede him in crossing the sea, while he dismissed the crowds.

14:23 And having dismissed the multitude, he ascended alone onto a mountain to pray. 当晚上到来时, he was alone there.

14:24 But in the midst of the sea, the boat was being tossed about by the waves. For the wind was against them.

14:25 然后, in the fourth watch of the night, he came to them, walking upon the sea.

14:26 And seeing him walking upon the sea, they were disturbed, 说: “It must be an apparition.” And they cried out, because of fear.

14:27 And immediately, Jesus spoke to them, 说: “Have faith. It is I. Do not be afraid.”

14:28 Then Peter responded by saying, “主, if it is you, order me come to you over the waters.”

14:29 他说, “Come.” And Peter, descending from the boat, walked over the water, so as to go to Jesus.

14:30 然而真的, seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And as he began to sink, 他喊道, 说: “主, save me.”

14:31 And immediately Jesus extended his hand and took hold of him. 并且对他说, “O little in faith, why did you doubt?”

14:32 And when they had ascended into the boat, the wind ceased.

14:33 Then those who were in the boat drew near and adored him, 说: “确实, you are the Son of God.”
