Ukufunda

IZenzo zabaPostile 8: 26-40

8:26	Ke kaloku kwathetha isithunywa seNkosi kuFilipu, esithi, Suka uye ngasemzantsi, kwindlela ehla ivela eYerusalem isiya eGaza, apho kukho intlango.
8:27	Kwaye ephakama, wahamba. Kwaye khangela, indoda engumTiyopiya, ithenwa, enamandla phantsi kweCandace, ukumkanikazi wamaKushi, ebiphezu kwabo bonke ubutyebi bayo, babeze kunqula eYerusalem.
8:28	Kwaye ngelixa ebuya, waye ehleli enqwelweni yakhe, efunda incwadi yomprofeti uIsaya.
8:29	Uthe ke uMoya kuFilipu, “Sondela uze uzibandakanye kule nqwelo.”
8:30	kunye noFilipu, ukungxama, wamva efunda incwadi yomprofeti uIsaya, watsho, “Ngaba ucinga ukuba uyayiqonda le nto uyifundayo??”
8:31	Uye wathi, “Kodwa ndingenza njani, ngaphandle kokuba kukho ondityhileleyo?” Yaza yamcela uFilipu ukuba akhwele ahlale nayo.
8:32	Ngoku indawo eSibhalweni awayeyifunda yayiyile: Njengegusha wasiwa ekuxhelweni. Nanjengemvana ethe cwaka phambi komchebi wayo, akawuvula umlomo wakhe.
8:33	Wawunyamezela umgwebo wakhe ngokuthobeka. Ngubani na kwisizukulwana sakhe oya kuchaza indlela eyasuswa ngayo ubomi bakhe emhlabeni??”
8:34	Laphendula ke ithenwa kuFilipu, esithi: "Ndiyakucenga, Uthetha ngabani na umprofeti le nto? Malunga naye, okanye ngomnye umntu?”
8:35	Emva koko uFilipu, evula umlomo wakhe eqalela kwesi sibhalo, wamshumayeza uYesu.
8:36	Kwaye ngoxa babehamba ngendlela, bafika kumthombo othile wamanzi. Lathi ithenwa: “Kukho amanzi. Yintoni eya kundithintela ukuba ndingabhaptizwa?”
8:37	Wathi uFilipu, Ukuba uyakholwa ngentliziyo yakho iphela, kuvumelekile.” Uye waphendula wathi, “Ndiyakholwa ukuba uNyana kaThixo nguYesu Kristu.”
8:38	Wathi mayime inqwelo. Behla bobabini, baya emanzini uFilipu kwanethenwa. Waza wambhaptiza.
8:39	Benyukile ke emanzini, UMoya weNkosi wamthabatha uFilipu, alaba sambona ithenwa. Emva koko wahamba indlela yakhe, bevuya.
8:40	Ke kaloku uFilipu wafunyanwa eAzoto. Kwaye ukuqhubeka, wazishumayela iindaba ezilungileyo kuzo zonke izixeko, wada waya kufika eKesareya.

The Holy Gospel According John 6: 44-51

6:44	No one is able to come to me, unless the Father, who has sent me, has drawn him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
6:45	It has been written in the Prophets: ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has listened and learned from the Father comes to me.
6:46	Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God; this one has seen the Father.
6:47	Amen, amen, Ndithi kuni, whoever believes in me has eternal life.
6:48	I am the bread of life.
6:49	Your fathers ate manna in the desert, and they died.
6:50	This is the bread which descends from heaven, so that if anyone will eat from it, he may not die.
6:51	I am the living bread, who descended from heaven.
