Ukufunda

Incwadi yomprofeti uIsaya 38: 1-8, 21-22

38:1	Ngaloo mihla wayesifa uHezekiya, eza kufa. Kwaye, uIsaya, unyana ka-Amos, umprofeti, wangena kuye, wathi kuye: “Utsho uNdikhoyo: Beka indlu yakho ngolungelelwano, ngokuba uya kufa, aniyi kuphila ke.
38:2	UHezekiya wabubhekisa eludongeni ubuso bakhe, wathandaza kuYehova.
38:3	Uye wathi: "Ndiyakucenga, Nkosi, Ndiyakucela, ndikhumbule ukuhamba kwam phambi kwenu enyanisweni, nangentliziyo epheleleyo, ndakwenza oko kulungileyo emehlweni akho. Walila uHezekiya ngokulila okukhulu.
38:4	Kwafika ilizwi likaYehova kuIsaya, esithi:
38:5	Hamba uye kuthi kuHezekiya: utsho uYehova, uThixo kaDavide, uyihlo: Ndiwuvile umthandazo wakho, kwaye ndizibonile iinyembezi zakho. Khangela, ndongeze kwimihla yakho ishumi elinesihlanu leminyaka;.
38:6	Kwaye ndiza kukuhlangula wena nesi sixeko esandleni sokumkani waseAsiriya, kwaye ndiya kuyikhusela.
38:7	Kwaye oku kuya kuba ngumqondiso kuni ophuma kuYehova, ukuba uYehova uya kulenza elo lizwi, athe wathetha:
38:8	Khangela, ndiya kwenza isithunzi sezitya, eyehlayo ngoku kwidayimani ka-Ahazi, ukuya umva imigca elishumi.” Kwaye, ilanga labuya umva ngemigca elishumi, ngezidanga ehle ngazo.
38:21	Ngoku uIsaya wabayalela ukuba bathabathe intlama yamakhiwane, nokuyandlala njengodaka lwenxeba phezu kwenxeba, ukuze aphile.
38:22	Wathi uHezekiya, Uya kuba yintoni na umqondiso wokuba ndiya kunyuka ndiye endlwini kaYehova??”

The Holy Gospel According to Matthew 12: 1-8

12:1	Ngela xesha, Jesus went out through the ripe grain on the Sabbath. And his disciples, being hungry, began to separate the grain and to eat.
12:2	Then the Pharisees, ukubona oku, wathi kuye, “Khangela!, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbaths.”
12:3	Uthe ke yena kubo: “Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, nabo babenaye:
12:4	how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
12:5	Or have you not read in the law, that on the Sabbaths the priests in the temple violate the Sabbath, and they are without guilt?
12:6	Ke mna ndithi kuni, that something greater than the temple is here.
12:7	And if you knew what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would never have condemned the innocent.
12:8	For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
