Ọgụgụ

The Letter of Saint James 2: 14-24, 26

2:14	Umunnem, kedu uru ọ bara ma mmadụ asị na ya nwere okwukwe, ma o nweghị ọrụ? Olee otú okwukwe ga-esi nwee ike ịzọpụta ya?
2:15	Ya mere, ọ bụrụ na nwanna nwoke ma ọ bụ nwanna nwanyị gba ọtọ na-achọ nri kwa ụbọchị,
2:16	ọ buru kwa na onye ọ bula n'etiti unu gāsi ha: “Gaa n'udo, na-ekpo ọkụ na nri,” ma unu enyela ha ihe ndị dị mkpa maka ahụ́, kedu uru nke a bụ?
2:17	Ya mere ọbụna okwukwe, ọ bụrụ na ọ nweghị ọrụ, anwụọla, n'onwe ya.
2:18	Ugbu a mmadụ nwere ike ịsị: “I nwere okwukwe, ma enwere m ọrụ.” Gosi m okwukwe gị na-enweghị ọrụ! Ma m ga-egosi gị okwukwe m site n’ọrụ.
2:19	I kwere na e nwere otu Chineke. Ị na-eme nke ọma. Ma ndị mmụọ ọjọọ kwekwara, ha we ma jijiji nke-uku.
2:20	Ya mere, ị dị njikere ịghọta, Nwoke nzuzu, na okwukwe na-enweghị ọrụ bụ ihe nwụrụ anwụ?
2:21	Ọ̀ bughi n'ọlu ka aguru nna-ayi Abraham n'onye ezi omume?, site n’inye nwa ya nwoke bụ́ Aịzik n’elu ebe ịchụàjà?
2:22	Ị hụrụ na okwukwe na-akwado ọrụ ya, na site n’ọrụ ka e ji mee ka okwukwe mezuo?
2:23	Ewe mezu ihe edeworo n'akwukwọ nsọ nke nēkwu: “Abraham kwere Chineke, ma a gụrụ ya n’ikpe ziri ezi.” Ya mere, a kpọrọ ya enyi nke Chineke.
2:24	Ị na-ahụ na a na-agụ mmadụ n'onye ezi omume site n'ọrụ, ọ bughi kwa n'okwukwe nání ya?
2:26	N’ihi na dị nnọọ ka ahụ́ nke mmụọ na-adịghị bụ ihe nwụrụ anwụ, otú ahụ kwa, okwukwe nke na-enweghị ọrụ bụ ihe nwụrụ anwụ.

The Holy Gospel According to Mark 8: 34-39

8:34	And calling together the crowd with his disciples, Ọ si ha, “If anyone chooses to follow me, ya ju onwe-ya, buru kwa obe-ya, sorokwam.
8:35	For whoever will have chosen to save his life, ga-atụfu ya. But whoever will have lost his life, for my sake and for the Gospel, shall save it.
8:36	N'ihi na olee otú ọ na-abara nwoke, ọ bụrụ na ọ na-enweta ụwa dum, and yet causes harm to his soul?
8:37	Or, what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
8:38	For whoever has been ashamed of me and of my words, among this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he will arrive in the glory of his Father, with the holy Angels.”
8:39	Ọ si ha, “Amen I say to you, that there are some among those standing here who shall not taste death until they see the kingdom of God arriving in power.”
