Ọrụ Ndịozi 6: 1-7

6:1	N'ụbọchị ndị ahụ, as the number of disciples was increasing, there occurred a murmuring of the Greeks against the Hebrews, because their widows were treated with disdain in the daily ministration.
6:2	And so the twelve, calling together the multitude of the disciples, kwuru: “It is not fair for us to leave behind the Word of God to serve at tables also.
6:3	Ya mere, umunne, search among yourselves for seven men of good testimony, filled with the Holy Spirit and with wisdom, whom we may appoint over this work.
6:4	Ma n'ezie, we will be continually in prayer and in the ministry of the Word.”
6:5	And the plan pleased the entire multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and with the Holy Spirit, and Philip and Prochorus and Nicanor and Timon and Parmenas and Nicolas, a new arrival from Antioch.
6:6	These they set before the sight of the Apostles, and while praying, they imposed hands on them.
6:7	And the Word of the Lord was increasing, and the number of disciples in Jerusalem was multiplied exceedingly. And even a large group of the priests were obedient to the faith.

2:7 Ya mere, unu ndi kwere, ọ bu nsọpuru. Ma nye ndị na-ekweghị, nkume ahu nke ndi nēwu ulo juru, otu ihe ahụ ka e meworo n'isi nkuku,

2:8 na nkume mmejọ, na nkume nke asịrị, nye ndi Okwu ahu kpasuru iwe; ha ekweghi kwa, ọ bu ezie na ewuwo kwa ha n'elu Ya.

2:9 Ma unu bu ọgbọ arọputara arọputa, òtù-nchu-àjà nke eze, mba di nsọ, ndị e nwetara, ka unu we kpọsa ezi omume nke Onye kpọworo unu n'ọchichiri ba n'ìhè-Ya di ebube.

Jọn 14: 1-12

14:1 O wee mee nke ahụ, when Jesus entered the house of a certain leader of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat bread, they were observing him.

14:2 Ma lee, a certain man before him was afflicted with edema.

14:3 Na ịzaghachi, Jesus spoke to the experts in the law and to the Pharisees, na-ekwu, “Is it lawful to cure on the Sabbath?”

14:4 But they kept silent. Ma n'ezie, taking hold of him, he healed him and sent him away.

14:5 And responding to them, o kwuru, “Which of you will have a donkey or an ox fall into a pit, and will not promptly pull him out, on the day of the Sabbath?”

14:6 And they were unable to respond to him about these things.

14:7 Then he also told a parable, to those who were invited, noticing how they chose the first seats at the table, na-agwa ha:

14:8 “When you are invited to a wedding, do not sit down in the first place, lest perhaps someone more honored than yourself may have been invited by him.

14:9 And then he who called both you and him, approaching, may say to you, ‘Give this place to him.’ And then you would begin, with shame, to take the last place.

14:10 But when you are invited, go, sit down in the lowest place, ka ọ were, when he who invited you arrives, he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the sight of those who sit at table together with you.

14:11 For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.”

14:12 Then he also said to the one who had invited him: “When you prepare a lunch or dinner, do not choose to call your friends, or your brothers, or your relatives, or your wealthy neighbors, lest perhaps they might then invite you in return and repayment would made to you.
