Lesning

The Acts of the Apostles 1: 1-11

1:1	Sikkert, Å Teofilus, Jeg komponerte den første talen om alt som Jesus begynte å gjøre og lære bort,
1:2	instruere apostlene, som han hadde utvalgt ved Den Hellige Ånd, helt til den dagen han ble tatt opp.
1:3	Han presenterte seg også levende for dem, etter hans lidenskap, viste seg for dem i førti dager og talte om Guds rike med mange forklaringer.
1:4	Og spise middag med dem, han befalte dem at de ikke skulle dra fra Jerusalem, men at de skulle vente på Faderens løfte, «som du har hørt om," han sa, «fra min egen munn.
1:5	For John, faktisk, døpt med vann, men du skal bli døpt med Den Hellige Ånd, ikke mange dager fra nå.»
1:6	Derfor, de som var samlet, spurte ham, ordtak, "Lord, er dette tiden da dere skal gjenopprette Israels rike?”
1:7	Men han sa til dem: «Det er ikke ditt å kjenne tidene eller øyeblikkene, som Faderen har fastsatt av sin egen myndighet.
1:8	Men du skal motta Den Hellige Ånds kraft, går over deg, og dere skal være vitner for meg i Jerusalem, og i hele Judea og Samaria, og til jordens ender.»
1:9	Og da han hadde sagt disse tingene, mens de så på, han ble løftet opp, og en sky tok ham bort fra deres syn.
1:10	Og mens de så ham gå opp til himmelen, se, to menn sto i nærheten av dem i hvite klær.
1:11	Og de sa: «Menn fra Galilea, hvorfor står du her og ser opp mot himmelen? Denne Jesus, som er tatt opp fra deg til himmelen, skal vende tilbake på samme måte som du har sett ham fare opp til himmelen.»

28:16	Now the eleven disciples went on to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

28:18	And Jesus, drawing near, spoke to them, ordtak: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
28:19	Derfor, go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
28:20	teaching them to observe all that I have ever commanded you. Og se, I am with you always, even to the consummation of the age.”
