Και ανταποκρίνεται, Ο Ιησούς τους μίλησε πάλι με παραβολές, ρητό: |

«Η βασιλεία των ουρανών μοιάζει με άνθρωπο που ήταν βασιλιάς, που γιόρτασε γάμο για τον γιο του. |
| 22:3 |
Και έστειλε τους υπηρέτες του να καλέσουν όσους ήταν καλεσμένοι στο γάμο. Αλλά δεν ήταν πρόθυμοι να έρθουν. |
| 22:4 |
Πάλι, έστειλε άλλους υπηρέτες, ρητό, «Πες στους καλεσμένους: Βλέπω, Έχω ετοιμάσει το γεύμα μου. Οι ταύροι και τα παχιά μου έχουν σκοτωθεί, και όλα είναι έτοιμα. Ελάτε στο γάμο.» |

Αλλά το αγνόησαν και έφυγαν: ένα στο εξοχικό του, και άλλος στην επιχείρησή του. |

Κι όμως αληθινά, οι υπόλοιποι έπιασαν τους υπηρέτες του και, έχοντας τους φερθεί με περιφρόνηση, τους σκότωσε. |

Όταν όμως το άκουσε αυτό ο βασιλιάς, ήταν θυμωμένος. Και στέλνει τους στρατούς του, κατέστρεψε αυτούς τους δολοφόνους, και έκαψε την πόλη τους. |
| 22:8 |
Τότε είπε στους υπηρέτες του: 'Ο γάμος, πράγματι, έχει προετοιμαστεί. Όμως όσοι προσκλήθηκαν δεν ήταν άξιοι. |
| 22:9 |
Επομένως, βγείτε στους δρόμους, και φώναξε όποιον βρεις στο γάμο». |
| 22:10 |
Και οι υπηρέτες του, αναχωρώντας στους δρόμους, συγκέντρωσε όλους αυτούς που βρήκαν, κακό και καλό, και ο γάμος γέμισε καλεσμένους. |

Τότε μπήκε ο βασιλιάς για να δει τους καλεσμένους. Και είδε εκεί έναν άνθρωπο που δεν ήταν ντυμένος με νυφικό. |

Και του είπε, ‘Φίλε, πώς είναι που μπήκες εδώ χωρίς να έχεις νυφικό?Αλλά ήταν άναυδος. |
| 22:13 |
Τότε ο βασιλιάς είπε στους υπουργούς: «Δέστε τα χέρια και τα πόδια του, και τον έριξε στο εξωτερικό σκοτάδι, όπου θα υπάρχει κλάμα και τρίξιμο των δοντιών. |

Για πολλούς καλούνται, αλλά λίγοι επιλέγονται.» |
| 22:15 |
Then the Pharisees, βγαίνω, took counsel as to how they might entrap him in speech. |
| 22:16 |
And they sent their disciples to him, with the Herodians, ρητό: "Δάσκαλος, we know that you are truthful, and that you teach the way of God in truth, and that the influence of others is nothing to you. For you do not consider the reputation of men. |

Επομένως, tell us, how does it seem to you? Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar, or not?” |

Αλλά ο Ιησούς, knowing their wickedness, είπε: “Why do you test me, υποκριτες? |

Show me the coin of the census tax.” And they offered him a denarius. |

Και ο Ιησούς τους είπε, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?” |
| 22:21 |
They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Then render to Caesar what is of Caesar; and to God what is of God.” |
| 22:22 |
And hearing this, αναρωτήθηκαν. And having left him behind, they went away. |
| 22:23 |
Εκείνη την ημέρα, the Sadducees, who say there is to be no resurrection, approached him. And they questioned him, |

ρητό: "Δάσκαλος, είπε ο Μωυσής: If anyone will have died, having no son, his brother shall marry his wife, and he shall raise up offspring to his brother. |
| 22:25 |
Now there were seven brothers with us. And the first, having taken a wife, πέθανε. And having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother: |

similarly with the second, and the third, even to the seventh. |
| 22:27 |
Και τελευταίο από όλα, the woman also passed away. |
| 22:28 |
In the resurrection, έπειτα, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.” |
| 22:29 |
But Jesus responded to them by saying: “You have gone astray by knowing neither the Scriptures, nor the power of God. |
| 22:30 |
For in the resurrection, they shall neither marry, nor be given in marriage. αντι αυτου, they shall be like the Angels of God in heaven. |
| 22:31 |
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken by God, saying to you: |
| 22:32 |
‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” |
| 22:33 |
And when the crowds heard this, they wondered at his doctrine. |
| 22:34 |
But the Pharisees, hearing that he had caused the Sadducees to be silent, came together as one. |
| 22:35 |
Και ένας από αυτούς, a doctor of the law, questioned him, to test him: |
| 22:36 |
"Δάσκαλος, which is the great commandment in the law?” |
| 22:37 |
του είπε ο Ιησούς: “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God from all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ |
| 22:38 |
This is the greatest and first commandment. |
| 22:39 |
But the second is similar to it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
| 22:40 |
On these two commandments the entire law depends, and also the prophets.” |
| 22:41 |
Επειτα, when the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus questioned them, |
| 22:42 |
ρητό: “What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “David’s.” |
| 22:43 |
Τους είπε: “Then how can David, in the Spirit, call him Lord, ρητό: |
| 22:44 |
«Ο Κύριος είπε στον Κύριό μου: Κάτσε στα δεξιά μου, until I make your enemies your footstool?'' |
| 22:45 |
Τότε λοιπόν, if David calls him Lord, how can he be his son?” |
| 22:46 |
And no one was able to respond to him a word. And neither did anyone dare, from that day forward, to question him. |
