Πρώτη Ανάγνωση

Οι Πράξεις των Αποστόλων 2: 1-11

2:1 Και όταν συμπληρώθηκαν οι ημέρες της Πεντηκοστής, ήταν όλοι μαζί στο ίδιο μέρος.

2:2 Και ξαφνικά, ακούστηκε ένας ήχος από τον ουρανό, σαν αυτό του ανέμου που πλησιάζει βίαια, και γέμισε όλο το σπίτι όπου κάθονταν.

2:3 Και τους εμφανίστηκαν ξεχωριστές γλώσσες, σαν από φωτιά, που κατακάθισε σε καθένα από αυτά.

2:4 Και ήταν όλοι γεμάτοι με Άγιο Πνεύμα. Και άρχισαν να μιλούν σε διάφορες γλώσσες, όπως το Άγιο Πνεύμα τους χάρισε ευγλωττία.

2:5 Τώρα υπήρχαν Εβραίοι που έμεναν στην Ιερουσαλήμ, ευσεβείς άνδρες από κάθε έθνος που είναι κάτω από τον ουρανό.

2:6 Και όταν ακούστηκε αυτός ο ήχος, το πλήθος μαζεύτηκε και ήταν μπερδεμένο στο μυαλό, γιατί ο καθένας τους άκουγε να μιλούν στη γλώσσα του.

2:7 Τότε όλοι έμειναν έκπληκτοι, και αναρωτήθηκαν, ρητό: "Βλέπω, δεν είναι όλοι αυτοί που μιλούν Γαλιλαίοι?

2:8 Και πώς γίνεται που τα έχουμε ακούσει ο καθένας στη γλώσσα του, στο οποίο γεννηθήκαμε?

2:9 Πάρθοι και Μήδοι και Ελαμίτες, και όσοι κατοικούν στη Μεσοποταμία, Ιουδαία και Καππαδοκία, τον Πόντο και την Ασία,

2:10 Φρυγία και Παμφυλία, Η Αίγυπτος και τα μέρη της Λιβύης που βρίσκονται γύρω από την Κυρήνη, και νέες αφίξεις των Ρωμαίων,

2:11 ομοίως Εβραίοι και νεοπροσήλυτοι, Κρήτες και Άραβες: Τους έχουμε ακούσει να μιλούν στις δικές μας γλώσσες τα θαυμαστά έργα του Θεού».

The First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 12: 3-7, 12-13

12:3 Εξαιτίας αυτού, I would have you know that no one speaking in the Spirit of God utters a curse against Jesus. And no one is able to say that Jesus is Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.

12:4 Στα αληθεια, there are diverse graces, but the same Spirit.

12:5 And there are diverse ministries, but the same Lord.

12:6 And there are diverse works, but the same God, who works everything in everyone.

12:7 Ωστόσο, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one toward what is beneficial.

12:12 For just as the body is one, and yet has many parts, so all the parts of the body, though they are many, are only one body. So also is Christ.

12:13 Και μάλιστα, in one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether servant or free. And we all drank in the one Spirit.

Ευαγγέλιο

Το κατά Ιωάννη Ιερό Ευαγγέλιο 20: 19-23

20:19 Επειτα, when it was late on the same day, on the first of the Sabbaths, and the doors were closed where the disciples were gathered, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, και τους είπε: “Peace to you.”

20:20 Και όταν το είπε αυτό, he showed them his hands and side. And the disciples were gladdened when they saw the Lord.

20:21 Επομένως, he said to them again: “Peace to you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”

20:22 When he had said this, he breathed on them. Και τους είπε: “Receive the Holy Spirit.

20:23 Those whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them, and those whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.”
