2Segundo Libro de los Reyes 2: 1-4, 10-12

2:1 Ahora sucedió que, cuando el Señor quiso levantar a Elías al cielo en un torbellino, Elías y Eliseo salían de Gilgal.

2:2 And Elijah said to Elisha: “Quédate aquí. For the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” And Elisha said to him, “Como vive el Señor, y como vive tu alma, I will not forsake you.” And when they had descended to Bethel,

2:3 the sons of the prophets, who were at Bethel, went out to Elisha. And they said to him, “Do you not know that today the Lord will take away your lord from you?” And he responded: “I know it. Be silent.”

2:4 Then Elijah said to Elisha: “Quédate aquí. For the Lord has sent me to Jericho.” And he said, “Como vive el Señor, y como vive tu alma, I will not forsake you.” And when they had arrived at Jericho

2:10 y el respondio: “Has pedido una cosa difícil. Sin embargo, si me ves cuando soy arrebatado de ti, tendrás lo que pediste. Pero si no ves, no será.”

2:11 Y mientras continuaban, estaban conversando mientras caminaban. y he aquí, un carro de fuego con caballos de fuego dividió a los dos. Y Elías subió al cielo en un torbellino.

2:12 Entonces Eliseo lo vio, y gritó: "Mi padre, mi padre! El carro de Israel con su conductor!Y no lo vio más. Y se agarró de sus propias vestiduras, y los partió en dos partes.
