Lectura

Sabiduría 3: 1-9

3:1	But the souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment of death will touch them.
3:2	In the eyes of the foolish, they seemed to die, and their departure was considered an affliction,
3:3	and their going away from us, a banishment. Yet they are in peace.
3:4	And though, in the sight of men, they suffered torments, their hope is full of immortality.
3:5	Troubled in few things, in many things they will be well compensated, because God has tested them and found them worthy of himself.
3:6	Like gold in the furnace, he has proved them, and as a holocaust victim, he has received them, and in the time of their visitation
3:7	they will shine, and they will dash about like sparks among stubble.
3:8	They will judge the nations and they will rule over the people, and their Lord will reign forever.
3:9	Those who trust in him, will understand the truth, and those who are faithful in love will rest in him, because grace and peace is for his elect.

Segunda Lectura

Letter of Romans 5: 5-11

5:5	pero la esperanza no es infundada, porque el amor de Dios es derramado en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo, quien nos ha sido dado.
5:6	Sin embargo, ¿por qué Cristo, mientras aún estábamos enfermos, en el momento adecuado, sufrir la muerte por los impíos?
5:7	Ahora alguien podría estar dispuesto a morir por el bien de la justicia., Por ejemplo, tal vez alguien se atreva a morir por un buen hombre.
5:8	Pero Dios demuestra su amor por nosotros en que, siendo aun pecadores, en el momento adecuado,
5:9	Cristo murió por nosotros. Por lo tanto, habiendo sido justificados ahora por su sangre, tanto más seremos salvos de la ira por medio de él.
5:10	Porque si fuimos reconciliados con Dios por la muerte de su Hijo, mientras aún éramos enemigos, más aún entonces, habiendo sido reconciliado, seremos salvos por su vida.
5:11	y no solo eso, sino que también nos gloriamos en Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por quien hemos recibido ahora la reconciliación.

Evangelio

John 6:37-40

6:37	Todo lo que el Padre me da, vendrá a mí.. Y quien viene a mi, no voy a echar fuera.
6:38	Porque bajé del cielo, no hacer mi propia voluntad, pero la voluntad del que me envió.
6:39	Sin embargo, esta es la voluntad del Padre que me envió.: que no pierda nada de todo lo que él me ha dado, sino que los resucite en el último día.
6:40	Por lo que entonces, Esta es la voluntad de mi Padre que me envió.: para que todo el que ve al Hijo y cree en él tenga vida eterna, y yo lo resucitaré en el último día”.
