Lesning

The Book of the Prophet Micah 2: 1-5

2:1	Woe to you who devise useless things and who work evil in your beds. In the morning light, they undertake it, because their hand is against God.
2:2	And they have desired fields and have taken them by violence, and they have stolen houses. And they have made false accusations against a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.
2:3	Av denne grunn, så sier Herren: Se, I devise an evil against this family, from which you will not steal away your necks. And you will not walk in arrogance, because this is a most wicked time.
2:4	På den dagen, a parable will be taken up about you, and a song will be sung with sweetness, ordtak: “We have been devastated by depopulation.” The fate of my people has been altered. How can he withdraw from me, when he might be turned back, he who might tear apart our country?
2:5	På grunn av dette, there will be for you no casting of the cord of fate in the assembly of the Lord.

Evangelium

Det hellige evangelium ifølge Matteus 12: 14-21

12:14	Så fariseerne, avreise, tok råd mot ham, om hvordan de kan ødelegge ham.
12:15	Men Jesus, å vite dette, trakk seg derfra. Og mange fulgte ham, og han helbredet dem alle.
12:16	Og han instruerte dem, at de ikke skal gjøre ham kjent.
12:17	Da ble det som ble talt gjennom profeten Jesaja oppfylt, ordtak:
12:18	«Se, min tjener som jeg har utvalgt, min elskede som min sjel har velbehag i. Jeg vil legge min Ånd over ham, og han skal forkynne dommen for hedningene.
12:19	Han skal ikke kjempe, heller ikke rope ut, ingen skal høre hans røst på gatene.
12:20	Han skal ikke knuse det knuste røret, og den rykende veken skal han ikke slukke, inntil han sender ut dom til seier.
12:21	Og hedningene skal håpe på hans navn.»
