Sabedoria 3: 1-9

Segunda leitura

Letter of Romans 5: 5-11

5:5 but hope is not unfounded, because the love of God is poured forth in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
5:6 Yet why did Christ, while we were still infirm, at the proper time, suffer death for the impious?
5:7 Now someone might barely be willing to die for the sake of justice, por exemplo, perhaps someone might dare to die for the sake of a good man.
5:8 But God demonstrates his love for us in that, while we were yet sinners, at the proper time,
5:9 Christ died for us. Portanto, having been justified now by his blood, all the more so shall we be saved from wrath through him.
5:10 For if we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, while we were still enemies, all the more so, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
5:11 E não só isso, but we also glory in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Evangelho

John 6:37-40

6:37 All that the Father gives to me shall come to me. And whoever comes to me, I will not cast out.
6:38 For I descended from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
6:39 Yet this is the will of the Father who sent me: that I should lose nothing out of all that he has given to me, but that I should raise them up on the last day.
6:40 Então, this is the will of my Father who sent me: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
