Êxodo 22: 20-26

22:20 Whoever immolates to gods, other than to the Lord, shall be killed. 22:21 You shall not harass the newcomer, nor shall you afflict him. For you yourselves were once newcomers in the land of Egypt.

22:22 You shall not harm a widow or an orphan.

22:23 If you hurt them, they will cry out to me, and I will hear their cry.

22:24 And my fury will be enraged, and I will strike you down with the sword. And your wives will become widows, and your sons will become orphans.

22:25 If you lend money to the poor of my people who live among you, you shall not coerce them like a collector, nor oppress them with usury.

22:26 If you take a garment from your neighbor as a pledge, you shall return it to him again before the setting of the sun

tessalonicenses 1: 5-10

1:5 Pois o nosso Evangelho não está entre vocês apenas em palavras, mas também em virtude, e no Espírito Santo, e com grande plenitude, da mesma maneira que você sabe, agimos entre você por sua causa.

1:6 E assim, vocês se tornaram nossos imitadores e do Senhor, aceitando a Palavra em meio a grande tribulação, mas com a alegria do Espírito Santo.

1:7 Assim você se tornou um padrão para todos os que acreditam na Macedônia e na Acaia.

1:8 para você, a Palavra do Senhor foi espalhada, não só na Macedônia e na Acaia, mas também em todos os lugares. Sua fé, que é para Deus, avançou tanto que não precisamos falar com você sobre nada.

1:9 Pois outros estão relatando entre nós o tipo de aceitação que tivemos entre vocês, e como você foi convertido de ídolos para Deus, ao serviço do Deus vivo e verdadeiro,

1:10 e à espera do seu Filho do céu (a quem ressuscitou dos mortos), Jesus, que nos resgatou da ira que se aproxima.

Mateus 22: 33-40

22:33 And when the crowds heard this, they wondered at his doctrine. 22:34 But the Pharisees, hearing that he had caused the Sadducees to be silent, came together as one.

22:35 And one of them, a doctor of the law, questioned him, to test him:

22:36 "Professor, which is the great commandment in the law?”

22:37 Jesus said to him: “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God from all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

22:38 This is the greatest and first commandment.

22:39 But the second is similar to it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’

22:40 On these two commandments the entire law depends, and also the prophets.”
