ΑΝΑΓΝΩΣΗ

First Book of Kings 11: 4-13

11:4	And when now he was old, his heart was perverted by the women, so that he followed strange gods. And his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David.
11:5	For Solomon worshipped Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, and Milcom, the idol of the Ammonites.
11:6	And Solomon did what was not pleasing in the sight of the Lord. And he did not continue to follow the Lord, as his father David did.
11:7	Then Solomon built a shrine for Chemosh, the idol of Moab, on the mount that is opposite Jerusalem, and for Milcom, the idol of the sons of Ammon.
11:8	And he acted in this manner for all his foreign wives, who were burning incense and immolating to their gods.
11:9	Και έτσι, the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his mind had been turned away from the Lord, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ, who had appeared to him twice,
11:10	and who had instructed him about this matter, lest he follow strange gods. But he did not observe what the Lord commanded to him.
11:11	Και έτσι, the Lord said to Solomon: “Because you have this with you, and because you have not kept my covenant and my precepts, which I commanded to you, I will tear apart your kingdom, and I will give it to your servant.
11:12	Κι όμως αληθινά, I will not do it in your days, for the sake of your father David. From the hand of your son, I will tear it away.
11:13	Neither will I take away the whole kingdom. αντι αυτου, I will grant one tribe to your son, for the sake of David, ο υπηρέτης μου, and Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”

Σημάδι 7: 24-30

7:24	Και σηκώνομαι, πήγε από εκεί στην περιοχή της Τύρου και της Σιδώνας. Και μπαίνοντας σε ένα σπίτι, σκόπευε κανείς να μην το μάθει, αλλά δεν μπόρεσε να μείνει κρυφός.
7:25	Για μια γυναίκα που η κόρη της είχε ακάθαρτο πνεύμα, μόλις άκουσε γι' αυτόν, μπήκε και έπεσε κατάκοιτος στα πόδια του.
7:26	Γιατί η γυναίκα ήταν Εθνικός, εκ γενετής Συρο-Φοίνικας. Και του έκανε παράκληση, ώστε να διώξει τον δαίμονα από την κόρη της.
7:27	Και της είπε: «Πρώτα επιτρέψτε στους γιους να χορτάσουν. Γιατί δεν είναι καλό να αφαιρείς το ψωμί των γιων και να το πετάς στα σκυλιά».
7:28	Εκείνη όμως απάντησε λέγοντάς του: "Σίγουρα, Αρχοντας. Ωστόσο, τα νεαρά σκυλιά τρώνε επίσης, κάτω από το τραπέζι, από τα ψίχουλα των παιδιών».
7:29	Και της είπε, «Εξαιτίας αυτού του ρητού, πηγαίνω; ο δαίμονας βγήκε από την κόρη σου».
7:30	Και όταν είχε πάει σπίτι της, βρήκε το κορίτσι ξαπλωμένο στο κρεβάτι; και ο δαίμονας είχε φύγει.
