The Book of the Prophet Jonah 3: 1-10

3:1	Izwi likaJehova lafika kuJona ngokwesibili, ethi:
3:2	Phakama, futhi uye eNineve, umuzi omkhulu. Nishumayele kuyo intshumayelo engiyisho kini.
3:3	Wasukuma uJona, waya eNineve njengezwi leNkosi. Futhi iNineve laliwumuzi omkhulu wohambo lwezinsuku ezintathu.
3:4	UJona waqala ukungena emzini, uhambo losuku olulodwa. Wakhala wathi, “Kusezakuba yizinsuku ezingamashumi amane, iNineve libhujiswe.
3:5	Futhi abantu baseNineve bakholwa kuNkulunkulu. Basebememezela ukuzila ukudla, bembatha izindwangu zamasaka, kusukela kwabakhulu kuye kwabancane.
3:6	Izwi lafinyelela enkosini yaseNineve. Futhi wasukuma esihlalweni sakhe sobukhosi, wakhumula ingubo yakhe, wembatha indwangu yamasaka, wahlala emlotheni.
3:7	Wamemeza wakhuluma: “ENineve, emlonyeni wenkosi lezikhulu zayo, makuthiwe: Abantu nezilwane nezinkomo nezimvu kungase kunganambithi lutho. Futhi kabayikudla, bangaphuzi amanzi.
3:8	Futhi akembeswe indwangu yesaka abantu nezilwane, bakhale kuJehova ngamandla, futhi umuntu angaphenduka endleleni yakhe embi, nasebubini obusezandleni zabo.
3:9	Ngubani owaziyo uma uNkulunkulu engaphenduka athethelele, futhi angase aphenduke olakeni lwakhe oluvuthayo, ukuze singabhubhi?”
3:10	Futhi uNkulunkulu wabona imisebenzi yabo, ukuthi base bephendukile endleleni yabo embi. Futhi uNkulunkulu waba nesihe kubo, ngobubi abeshilo ukuthi uyakubenza kubo, futhi akakwenzanga.

The First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 7: 29-31

7:29	Manje, lokhu engikushoyo, bazalwane: Isikhathi sifushane. Okusalayo ukuthi kunjalo: abanabafazi kufanele kube sengathi abanabo;
7:30	lalabo abakhalayo, sengathi abalili; lalabo abathokozayo, sengathi kabathokozi; nalabo abathengayo, sengathi abanalutho;
7:31	nalabo abasebenzisa izinto zalomhlaba, sengathi abawasebenzisi. Ngoba umfanekiso walomhlaba uyadlula.

1:14	Khona-ke, after John was handed over, Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,
1:15	futhi ethi: “For the time has been fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
1:16	And passing by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew, casting nets into the sea, ngoba babengabadobi.
1:17	UJesu wasesithi kubo, “Come after me, ngiyakunenza nibe ngabadobi babantu.”
1:18	And at once abandoning their nets, bamlandela.
1:19	And continuing on a little ways from there, he saw James of Zebedee and his brother John, and they were mending their nets in a boat.
1:20	And immediately he called them. And leaving behind their father Zebedee in the boat with his hired hands, bamlandela.
