4:7 Bathandwa kakhulu, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love.

4:9 The love of God was made apparent to us in this way: that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

4:10 In this is love: not as if we had loved God, but that he first loved us, and so he sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins.

4:11 Bathandwa kakhulu, if God has so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

4:12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.

4:13 Ngale ndlela, we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he has given to us from his Spirit.

4:14 Futhi sesibonile, futhi siyafakaza, that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

4:15 Whoever has confessed that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love. And he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in him.

10:38	Manje kwenzeka lokho, besahamba, wangena emzini othile. Nowesifazane othize, okuthiwa uMarta, wamamukela endlini yakhe.
10:39	Futhi wayenodadewabo, okuthiwa uMariya, I-WHO, ngenkathi ehlezi ngasezinyaweni zeNkosi, wayelalele izwi lakhe.
10:40	Manje uMarta wayematasa ngokukhonza. Wama wathi: “Nkosi, akukukhathazi yini ukuthi udadewethu ungishiye ngikhonze ngedwa? Ngakho-ke, khuluma naye, ukuze angisize.”
10:41	Yaphendula iNkosi yathi kuye: “Marta, UMarta, uyakhathazeka, ukhathazeke ngezinto ezinengi.
10:42	Nokho yinye kuphela into edingekayo. UMariya ukhethe isabelo esihle kakhulu, futhi kayiyikususwa kuye.
