The Second Book of Samuel 7:4-5, 12-14, 16

7:4	Kodwa kwenzeka ngalobo busuku, bheka, izwi likaJehova lafika kuNathani, ethi:
7:5	“Hamba, usho encekwini yami uDavide: ‘Isho kanje iNkosi: Ingabe ungangakhela indlu njengendawo yokuhlala?
7:12	Futhi lapho izinsuku zakho ziyobe sezigcwalisekile, uzolala koyihlo, ngiyakuvusa inzalo yakho emva kwakho, ozophuma okhalweni lwakho, ngizawuqinisa umbuso wakhe.
7:13	Nguye ozakwakhela ibizo lami indlu. Futhi ngizaqinisa isihlalo sobukhosi sombuso wakhe, ngisho kuze kube phakade.
7:14	ngizoba ubaba kuye, futhi uyakuba yindodana kimi. Futhi uma enza noma yimuphi ububi, ngizamqondisa ngentonga yabantu langemivimbo yamadodana abantu.
7:16	Futhi indlu yakho iyothembeka, umbuso wakho uyakuba phambi kobuso bakho, kuze kube phakade, futhi isihlalo sakho sobukhosi siyohlala silondekile.’”

Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans 4: 13, 16-18, 22

4:13	Ngesethembiso ku-Abrahama, nasezizukulwaneni zakhe, ukuthi uzodla ifa lomhlaba, kwakungekho ngomthetho, kodwa ngokulunga kokukholwa.
4:17	akholwa kuye, ovusa abafileyo futhi obiza lezozinto ezingekho zibe khona. Ngoba kulotshiwe: “Ngikumisile njengoyise wezizwe eziningi.”
4:18	Wakholwa, ngethemba elingaphezu kwethemba, ukuze abe nguyise wezizwe ezinengi, njengalokho okwashiwo kuye: “Kuyoba njalo inzalo yakho.”
4:22	Futhi ngenxa yalesi sizathu, kwabalelwa kuye ukuthi kungukulunga.

1:16	And Jacob conceived Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
1:18	Now the procreation of the Christ occurred in this way. After his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they lived together, she was found to have conceived in her womb by the Holy Spirit.
1:19	Khona-ke uJosefa, umyeni wakhe, since he was just and was not willing to hand her over, preferred to send her away secretly.
1:20	But while thinking over these things, bheka, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, ethi: “Joseph, indodana kaDavide, do not be afraid to accept Mary as your wife. For what has been formed in her is of the Holy Spirit.
1:21	And she shall give birth to a son. And you shall call his name JESUS. For he shall accomplish the salvation of his people from their sins.”
1:24	Khona-ke uJosefa, arising from sleep, did just as the Angel of the Lord had instructed him, and he accepted her as his wife.
