10:25 Futhi kwenzeka lokho, esengenile uPetro, UKorneliyu wamhlangabeza. Futhi ewa phambi kwezinyawo zakhe, wahlonipha.

10:26 Nokho ngempela, UPetru, emphakamisa, kusho: “Sukuma, ngoba nami ngingumuntu nje.

10:34 Khona-ke, UPetru, evula umlomo, kusho: “Ngeqiniso ngiphethe ngokuthi uNkulunkulu akabheki ubuso bamuntu.

10:35 Kodwa phakathi kwazo zonke izizwe, omesabayo enze ukulunga uyamukeleka kuye.

10:44 Esakhuluma la mazwi uPetru, uMoya oNgcwele wehlela phezu kwabo bonke ababelalele iZwi.

10:45 Nabathembekile bokusoka, owafika loPetro, bamangala ukuthi umusa kaMoya oNgcwele uthululelwe naphezu kwabezizwe.

10:46 Ngoba babezwa bekhuluma ngezilimi futhi bedumisa uNkulunkulu.

10:47 Khona-ke uPetru waphendula, “Ubani angawenqabela kanjani amanzi, ukuze labo abemukele uMoya oNgcwele bangabhabhathizwa, njengoba sinjalo lathi?”

10:48 Futhi wayala ukuba babhapathizwe egameni leNkosi uJesu Kristu. Basebemncenga ukuthi ahlale labo insuku ezithile.

The First Letter of Saint John 4: 7-10

4:7 Bathandwa kakhulu, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love.

4:9 The love of God was made apparent to us in this way: that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

4:10 In this is love: not as if we had loved God, but that he first loved us, and so he sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins.

15:9 As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Abide in my love.

15:10 If you keep my precepts, you shall abide in my love, just as I also have kept my Father’s precepts and I abide in his love.

15:11 Lezi zinto ngizikhulume kini, so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be fulfilled.

15:12 This is my precept: that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

15:13 No one has a greater love than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.

15:14 You are my friends, if you do what I instruct you.

15:15 I will no longer call you servants, for the servant does not know what his Lord is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything whatsoever that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. And I have appointed you, so that you may go forth and bear fruit, and so that your fruit may last. Then whatever you have asked of the Father in my name, he shall give to you.

15:17 This I command you: that you love one another.
