Izenzo Zabaphostoli 19: 1-8

19:1 Manje kwenzeka lokho, kuyilapho uApholo eseKorinte, UPawulu, esedabule izifunda ezingenhla, wafika e-Efesu. Futhi wahlangana nabafundi abathile.

19:2 Wathi kubo, “Ngemva kokukholwa, senimamukele uMoya oNgcwele?” Kodwa bathi kuye, “Asizwanga nokuthi kukhona uMoya oNgcwele.”

19:3 Nokho ngempela, uthe, “Khona-ke ubhapathizwe ngani?” Base bethi, “Ngobhapathizo lukaJohane.”

19:4 Khona-ke uPawulu wathi: “UJohane wabhapathiza abantu ngobhapathizo lokuphenduka, bethi kufanele bakholwe kulowo ozayo emva kwakhe, leyo, kuJesu.”

19:5 Lapho ezwa lezi zinto, babhapathizwa egameni leNkosi uJesu.

19:6 Kwathi uPawulu esebeke izandla phezu kwabo, uMoya oNgcwele wehlela phezu kwabo. Futhi babekhuluma ngezilimi futhi beprofetha.

19:7 Manje amadoda ayengaba ishumi nambili esewonke.

19:8 Khona-ke, ekungeneni kwesinagoge, wayekhuluma ngokwethembeka izinyanga ezintathu, bephikisana bebancenga ngombuso kaNkulunkulu.

IVangeli Elingcwele NgokukaJohane 16: 29-33

16:29 His disciples said to him: “Bheka, now you are speaking plainly and not reciting a proverb.

16:30 Now we know that you know all things, and that you have no need for anyone to question you. Ngalokhu, we believe that you went forth from God.”

16:31 UJesu wabaphendula: “Do you believe now?

16:32 Bheka, the hour is coming, and it has now arrived, when you will be scattered, each one on his own, and you will leave me behind, yedwa. And yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me.

16:33 Lezi zinto ngizikhulume kini, so that you may have peace in me. Emhlabeni, you will have difficulties. But have confidence: I have overcome the world.”
