First Reading

The Book of the Prophet Isaiah 42: 1-4, 6-7

42:1	Behold my servant, I will uphold him, my elect, with him my soul is well-pleased. I have sent my Spirit upon him. He will offer judgment to the nations.
42:2	He will not cry out, and he will not show favoritism to anyone; neither will his voice be heard abroad.
42:3	The bruised reed he will not break, and the smoldering wick he will not extinguish. He will lead forth judgment unto truth.
42:4	He will not be saddened or troubled, until he establishes judgment on earth. And the islands will await his law.
42:6	I, the Lord, have called you in justice, and I have taken your hand and preserved you. And I have presented you as a covenant of the people, as a light to the Gentiles,
42:7	so that you may open the eyes of the blind, and lead out the prisoner from confinement and those sitting in darkness from the house of incarceration.

Second Reading

ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಕಾಯಿದೆಗಳು 10: 34-38

10:34	ನಂತರ, ಪೀಟರ್, ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯುವ, ಎಂದರು: “ದೇವರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವವನಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದೆ.
10:35	ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದೊಳಗೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರಾರ್ಹನು.
10:36	ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು, ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸುವುದು, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರಭು.
10:37	ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೂದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಗಲಿಲೀಯಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ, ಜಾನ್ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್ ನಂತರ,
10:38	ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು, ಇವರನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದನು, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ದೆವ್ವದಿಂದ ತುಳಿತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದನು.

 

ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 1: 7-11

1:7	And he preached, ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ: “One stronger than me comes after me. I am not worthy to reach down and loosen the laces of his shoes.
1:8	I have baptized you with water. ಆದರೂ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ, he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
1:9	ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು, ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, Jesus arrived from Nazareth of Galilee. And he was baptized by John in the Jordan.
1:10	ಮತ್ತು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ, upon ascending from the water, he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit, like a dove, descending, and remaining with him.
1:11	And there was a voice from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.
