    Gerðir 10: 25- 26, 34- 35, 44- 48

10:25Og það gerðist, when Peter had entered, Cornelius went to meet him. And falling before his feet, he reverenced.
10:26Samt sannarlega, Pétur, lifting him up, sagði: "Rísa upp, for I also am only a man.”
10:34Þá, Pétur, opening his mouth, sagði: “I have concluded in truth that God is not a respecter of persons.
10:35But within every nation, whoever fears him and works justice is acceptable to him.
10:44While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell over all of those who were listening to the Word.
10:45And the faithful of the circumcision, who had arrived with Peter, were astonished that the grace of the Holy Spirit was also poured out upon the Gentiles.
10:46For they heard them speaking in tongues and magnifying God.
10:47Then Peter responded, “How could anyone prohibit water, so that those who have received the Holy Spirit would not be baptized, just as we also have been?”
10:48And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they begged him to remain with them for some days.

    First Letter of John 4: 7- 10

4:7Most beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
4:8Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love.
4:9The love of God was made apparent to us in this way: that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
4:10In this is love: not as if we had loved God, but that he first loved us, and so he sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins.

    Jón 15: 9- 17

15:9As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Abide in my love.
15:10If you keep my precepts, you shall abide in my love, just as I also have kept my Father’s precepts and I abide in his love.
15:11These things I have spoken to you, so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be fulfilled.
15:12This is my precept: that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
15:13No one has a greater love than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.
15:14You are my friends, if you do what I instruct you.
15:15I will no longer call you servants, for the servant does not know what his Lord is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything whatsoever that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
15:16You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. And I have appointed you, so that you may go forth and bear fruit, and so that your fruit may last. Then whatever you have asked of the Father in my name, he shall give to you.
15:17This I command you: that you love one another.

    Reading

The Acts of the Apostles 16: 1-10

    Gospel

The Holy Gospel According to John 15: 18-21

15:18If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before you.
15:19If you had been of the world, the world would love what is its own. Samt sannarlega, you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world; vegna þessa, the world hates you.
15:20Remember my saying that I told you: The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.
15:21But all these things they will do to you because of my name, for they do not know him who sent me.

    First Corinthians 15: 1- 8

15:1And so I make known to you, bræður, the Gospel that I preached to you, which you also received, and on which you stand.
15:2By the Gospel, líka, you are being saved, if you hold to the understanding that I preached to you, lest you believe in vain.
    15:3For I handed on to you, first of all, what I also received: that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures;
    15:4and that he was buried; and that he rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures;
15:5and that he was seen by Cephas, and after that by the eleven.
15:6Next he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at one time, many of whom remain, even to the present time, although some have fallen asleep.
15:7Næst, he was seen by James, then by all the Apostles.
15:8And last of all, he was seen also by me, as if I were someone born at the wrong time.

    Jón 14: 6- 14

14:6Jesus said to him: “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
14:7If you had known me, certainly you would also have known my Father. And from now on, you shall know him, and you have seen him.”
14:8Philip said to him, „Drottinn, reveal the Father to us, and it is enough for us.”
14:9Jesus said to him: “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me? Philip, whoever sees me, also sees the Father. How can you say, ‘Reveal the Father to us?'
14:10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I am speaking to you, I do not speak from myself. But the Father abiding in me, he does these works.
14:11Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
14:12Or else, believe because of these same works. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me shall also do the works that I do. And greater things than these shall he do, for I go to the Father.
14:13And whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14:14If you shall ask anything of me in my name, that I will do.
