Acta Apostolorum 6: 8-10, 7: 54-59

6:8	Tunc Stephen, repleti gratia et fortitudine, feceruntque signa magna et signa magna in populo.
6:9	Sed quidam, de synagoga quae dicitur Libertinorum, et Cyrenarum, et Alexandrinorum, et qui erant a Cilicia et Asia exsurgentes disputabant cum Stephano.
6:10	sed non poterant resistere sapientiae et Spiritui quo loquebatur.

7:54	deinde, His auditis, vulnerati sunt in cordibus suis, Et stridebant dentibus in eum.
7:55	At ille, repleti Spiritu Sancto, et intuens in caelum, viderunt gloriam Dei et Iesum stantem a dextris Dei. Et dixit, "Ecce", Video caelos apertos, et Filius hominis stans a dextris Dei ».
7:56	tum illi, clamans voce magna, obturavit aures eorum, unanimiter, impetu in eum.
7:57	Et eiecerunt eum, ultra civitatem, miserunt eum. Et testes posuerunt vestimenta sua iuxta pedes iuventutis, qui vocatus est Saul.
7:58	Et cum lapidarent Stephen, clamavit et dixit, "Dominus Jesus", accipere spiritum meum. "
7:59	deinde, ad genua delatis, exclamavit voce magna, dicens, "Dominus", noli adversus eos hoc peccatum habere. Et cum hoc dixisset, obdormivit in Domino. Et consensit Saul neci eius.

Lectio sancti Evangelii secundum Matthaeum 10: 17-22

10:17	But beware of men. For they will hand you over to councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.
10:18	And you shall be led before both rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
10:19	But when they hand you over, do not choose to think about how or what to speak. For what to speak shall be given to you in that hour.
10:20	For it is not you who will be speaking, but the Spirit of your Father, who will speak in you.
10:21	And brother will hand over brother to death, and father will hand over son. And children will rise up against parents and bring about their deaths.
10:22	And you will be hated by all for the sake of my name. But whoever will have persevered, even to the end, hic salvus erit.
