Lectio sancti Evangelii secundum Matthaeum 9: 1-8

9:1 And climbing into a boat, he crossed the sea, and he arrived at his own city.
9:2 Et ecce, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. Et iesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Be strengthened in faith, filius; remittuntur tibi peccata tua.
9:3 Et ecce, some of the scribes said within themselves, “He is blaspheming.”
9:4 And when Jesus had perceived their thoughts, dixit: “Why do you think such evil in your hearts?
9:5 Quod est facilius dicere, Dimittuntur tibi peccata tua,' vel dicere, 'Surge et ambula.'?'
9:6 Sed, so that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” he then said to the paralytic, "Surge sursus, tolle grabatum tuum, et vade in domum tuam ”.
9:7 And he arose and went into his house.
9:8 Then the crowd, cum hoc, was frightened, and they glorified God, who gave such power to men.
