The Second Letter of Saint Paul to Timothy 1: 1-8

1:1	Paulus, an Apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, in accord with the promise of the life which is in Christ Jesus,
1:2	to Timothy, most beloved son. Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and from Christ Jesus our Lord.
1:3	I give thanks to God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a pure conscience. For without ceasing I hold the remembrance of you in my prayers, night and day,
1:4	desiring to see you, recalling your tears so as to be filled with joy,
1:5	calling to mind the same faith, which is in you unfeigned, which also first dwelt in your grandmother, Lois, and in your mother, Eunice, et etiam, I am certain, in you.
1:6	Quod huius, I admonish you to revive the grace of God, which is in you by the imposition of my hands.
1:7	For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of virtue, and of love, and of self-restraint.
1:8	Itaque, non erubescas testimonium Domini, neque a me, eius captivum. Instead, cooperari cum Evangelio secundum virtutem Dei,

Lectio sancti Evangelii secundum Lucam 10: 1-9

10:1	deinde, post haec, Dominus etiam aliam septuaginta duo nominavit. Et misit illos binos ante faciem suam, in omnem civitatem et locum, quo erat venturus.
10:2	Et dixit eis: "Certe messis magna est", operarii autem pauci. Ergo, roga dominum messis ut mittat operarios in messem suam.
10:3	Egredere. Ecce, Ego mitto vos sicut agnos inter lupos.
10:4	Nolite portare sacculum, neque cibaria, neque calceamenta; et neminem per viam salutabitis.
10:5	In quamcumque domum intraveritis, primum dicite, 'Pax huic domui.'
10:6	Et si filius pacis est, requiescet super eum pax tua. Sed si non, et revertetur ad vos.
10:7	et in eadem domo manete, edentes et bibentes quae apud illos sunt. Dignus est enim operarius mercede sua. Noli transire de domo in domum.
10:8	Et in quamcumque civitatem intraveritis , et receperint vos, comede quod statuerunt ante te.
10:9	Et curate infirmos qui ibi sunt, et annuntiate eis, 'Appropinquavit tibi regnum dei.'
