Reading

The Book of the Prophet Jeremiah 20: 10-13

20:10	For I heard the insults of many, and terror all around: ‘Persecute him!“ a, ‘Let us persecute him!’ from all the men who had been at peace with me and who had kept watch by my side. ‘If only there were some way that he might be deceived, and we might prevail against him and obtain vengeance from him!'
20:11	But the Lord is with me, like a strong warrior. Pre tento dôvod, those who persecute me will fall, and they will be ineffective. They will be greatly confounded. For they have not understood the everlasting disgrace that will never be wiped away.
20:12	A vy, Ó, Pane zástupov, the Tester of the just, who sees the temperament and the heart: I beg you to let me see your vengeance upon them. For I have revealed my case to you.
20:13	Spievajte Pánovi! Chváľte Pána! For he has freed the soul of the poor from the hand of the wicked.

The Holy Gospel According to John 10: 31-42

10:31	Preto, Židia brali kamene, aby ho ukameňovali.
10:32	Ježiš im odpovedal: „Ukázal som vám mnoho dobrých skutkov od svojho Otca. Za ktoré z tých diel ma ukameňujete?“
10:33	Židia mu odpovedali: „Neukameňujeme ťa za dobrú prácu, ale za rúhanie a preto, hoci si muž, robíš zo seba Boha."
10:34	Ježiš im odpovedal: „Či to nie je napísané vo vašom zákone?, 'Povedal som: ste bohovia?'
10:35	Keby tých, ktorým bolo dané Božie slovo, nazval bohmi, a Písmo nemôže byť porušené,
10:36	prečo hovoríš, o tom, ktorého Otec posvätil a poslal na svet, „Rúhal si sa,' pretože som povedal, ‚Som Boží Syn?'
10:37	Ak nekonám skutky svojho Otca, neverte vo mňa.
10:38	Ale ak ich urobím, aj keď vo mňa nechceš veriť, verte dielam, aby ste vedeli a uverili, že Otec je vo mne, a ja som v Otcovi."
10:39	Preto, snažili sa ho zatknúť, ale ušiel im z rúk.
10:40	A opäť prešiel cez Jordán, na miesto, kde Ján najprv krstil. A ubytoval sa tam.
10:41	A mnohí k nemu vyšli. A hovorili: "Naozaj, John nedosiahol žiadne známky.
10:42	Ale všetko, čo povedal Ján o tomto mužovi, bola pravda." A mnohí v neho verili.
